Dell XPS 17 9700 Core i7 Laptop Review: Pretty Much A MacBook Pro 17. Personally I don't like that title as it's a lot better since you can actually upgrade things yourself + 2060 will smoke every ultrabook in the market unless you go gaming and it doesn't charge you apple tax (but there is a dell tax but also dell discounts where you can stack coupons/ebates on top of sales). Still a overall good review.

Cute mech battler Volta-X is holding a closed beta, and we've got 200 keys to give away
https://www.pcgamer.com/cute-mech-battler-volta-x-is-holding-a-closed-beta-and-weve-got-200-keys-to-give-away/
Volta-X is a "real-time strategy mech battler" that begins with a Kaiju invasion of Earth. Humanity seemed doomed, until our best scientists developed the Voltas: Giant fighting robots that enabled us to stand toe-to-toe with the alien invaders and eventually force them off the planet. We won! And now we've got all these giant fighting robots and nothing to do with them.
(...)
If this sounds like something you'd like to try, I have good news: Volta-X is expected to arrive on Steam later this summer, and before that happens a one-day closed beta test is running on July 18—and we've got 200 keys to give away.

Remnant: From the Ashes devs were 'really surprised' by 1.6 million sales
https://www.pcgamer.com/remnant-from-the-ashes-sales-interview/
Remnant from the Ashes was a surprising game in many ways. What initially seemed to me like a rote Gears of War clone soon revealed itself to be a wild and furiously challenging adventure across multiple planets, with imaginative weapons and ferocious boss fights. It also surprised its own developers, Gunfire Games. Since launch, Remnant has sold 1.6 million copies, far surpassing expectations.
"We were really surprised. We were independent at the time, and it was our first game for us like this," says John Pearl, design director at Gunfire. "It's always hard to get people into a new game … so we were really surprised by how well it was received."

Crysis Enhanced Edition is now available for free download
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/crysis-enhanced-edition-is-now-available-for-free-download/
Last month, we informed you about a new graphical overhaul mod for the first Crysis game, Crysis Enhanced Edition. This mod was originally put behind a Patreon-wall. However, we are happy to report today that Crysis Enhanced Edition is finally available for download to the public.
Crysis Enhanced Edition features better water effects and richer particles. The team has also added indirect sky lighting and fog effects in order to improve the game’s visuals. Not only that, but it has reworked the lighting for all interior areas.
Furthermore, Crysis Enhanced Edition features screen-space reflections for water, grass shadows and improved material simulation. It also has Cloud Shadows, real-time Ocean Reflections, and improved Edge AA. Lastly, it adds Lens flares and rain splash on water when raining.
Unfortunately, the team has not released its 4K/8K textures. Instead, the public version of Crysis Enhanced Edition uses textures from Rygels Textures mods, HD Grass, Maximum Immersion Textures, and upscaled (4x) Vanilla textures. The team has, once again, put its own high quality textures behind a Patreon-wall. It sucks, we know.
>> You can get it from ModDB.

Aghanim's Labyrinth is a Dota 2 roguelike

Dota 2's summer event kicked off this week, letting players take a break from the MOBA to instead play a co-op roguelike, Aghanim’s Labyrinth, with three buds. It's available to everyone, battle pass or no, for free.

The spider-squashing, house-demolishing game Kill It With Fire is coming in August
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-spider-squashing-house-demolishing-game-kill-it-with-fire-is-coming-in-august/
Kill It With Fire is a bonkers first-person game about arachnophobia and proportional response. I took a look at a demo for the game back in April and enjoyed it a lot: It's dumb—really dumb—but demolishing a house to kill a few bugs (who were just minding their own business) is a lot of fun, and kind of cathartic, too.

Necrobarista, the 3D visual novel about ghosts, coffee, and Australia, comes out next week
https://www.pcgamer.com/necrobarista-the-3d-visual-novel-about-ghosts-coffee-and-australia-comes-out-next-week/
We got our first look at Necrobarista, a 3D visual novel about serving coffee, meeting ghosts, and playing with knives, all the way back in 2017. A couple of years later a release date was set, although shortly after that it was delayed "slightly" so developer Route 59 Games could do a little more work on it. The process ended up taking a lot longer than expected, but the studio announced today that Necrobarista will arrive on July 22.

Our favorite skateboarding sim, Session, is getting a physics overhaul

Microsoft Flight Simulator is getting a 10 disc physical version
https://www.pcgamer.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-is-getting-a-10-disc-physical-version/
The first Microsoft Flight Simulator came on a single 360kb 5.25 inch floppy disc. Back then you had to run the program directly from the disc, as it wasn't designed to be installed on a rare-at-the-time hard drive.
That was back in 1982: fast forward 38 years, and the forthcoming 2020 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator comes on a whopping ten DVDs, amounting to 85GB, meaning the original Flight Sim could fit on those discs at least 236,000 times. Maths!

The Red Door, reportedly Call of Duty 2020, is on the Microsoft Store
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-red-door-reportedly-call-of-duty-2020-is-on-the-microsoft-store/
Despite being more than halfway through the year, the next instalment in the ceaseless Call of Duty series is still a complete mystery. Activision hasn't been giving anything away, and so far all we've had to go on are leaks and rumours. But now it might have appeared on the Microsoft Store.

No Man's Sky takes a terrifying new turn in its Desolation update
https://www.pcgamer.com/no-mans-sky-takes-a-terrifying-new-turn-in-its-desolation-update/
No Man's Sky has always been known for its intergalactic exploration, letting players discover new worlds at the far reaches of the galaxy. But the space survival sim has taken a bit of a turn with its new Desolation update, leaving the joys of planet-hopping behind for the terrors of being alone in the unknown. It's a whole new atmosphere for No Man's Sky, which you can see in the trailer above—it's giving me major GTFO and Alien: Isolation vibes.

Star Wars: Squadrons' cockpits will look like they were built in the '70s
https://www.pcgamer.com/star-wars-squadrons-cockpits-will-look-like-they-were-built-in-the-70s/
Hot-shot space jockeys will have eight starfighters at their fingertips when Star Wars: Squadrons goes live in October: Four Imperial and four Rebel, each one belonging to a different class. That in itself isn't news, but today EA shared more about what each class can do, how pilots can get the most out of their machines, and how it's going about recreating futuristic technology from a long time ago.

Remnant: From the Ashes' final DLC gets a new trailer, releases next month

Co-op shooter Remnant: From the Ashes will see the launch of its final DLC next month. Titled Subject 2923, the expansion introduces two major new biomes for players to explore, alongside a new campaign story that traces the origins of Remnant's strange world.

Also has a newer image processor, Dolby IQ and is overall newer, which means it's gonna be supported for longer.

And then according to this test the 4k VRR max is not locked at 60 and has much lower input lag on 4K VRR. That makes it pretty much without alternative if I plan to game on it, which I do.

Apparently it's his first build, which would explain why it took him so long and had to move the case so much. Not that it would be a problem for him with those arms of his.

Anyone knows what CPU and GPU he's using? I see it's a Ryzen and an Asus GPU like the mobo, but I can't see the model.
