Quick question: There is a game on Steam Early Access called "Kenshi" and it looks really cool, however it still looks very early Alpha. Does anybody have hope this game will ever be completed? The reason I say this is because I remember the game from about 2010 on gamersgate and it looked very alpha then as well...

League of Legends Legacy skins coming out of retirement

Comment

Retirement is all well and good if you're a person. Buggering off to a warmer country to soak up the sun and laugh at all the mugs still working away to feed themselves sounds splendid, but what if you're a League of Legends Legacy skin? There's no retirement resort or pensions for costumes, lamentably. Your only hope is to wait for Riot to put you back up for sale as part of a special deal

Until the end of December, previously retired Legacy skins are back in the store, just waiting to be snatched up by aesthetically minded folk. During this month long period, each skin will get a 50 percent discount for a day and, if you're quick enough, you can grab the lot (all 47 of them) for 60 percent off with the Mega Legacy Bundle, but today's the last day.

Jon Shafer's At the Gates has fallen through the Civ, landed in 2015

Comment

Civilization V designer Jon Shafer’s a bit like my mum. He says “at the gates”, right, but what he really means is “just looking for my keys, be with you in an hour”. And then when he finally gets here, yeah, the presents aren’t presents at all, but sticks. Just hundreds of twigs and branches wrapped up and ribboned like presents, because it turns out you haven’t been a good boy this year after all, and hey, that’s the sobering reality of Christmas. Mums, eh?

But enough about Jon Shafer. At the Gates won’t be released til 2015.

Dyscourse Has In-Game Footage At Last – Hurrah!

By John Walker on December 2nd, 2013 at 6:00 pm.

Dyscourse finally has some in-game footage. Six minutes of it, in fact. Is this what you were waiting for before you pledged to its Kickstarter? Because I’m really not sure what else anyone could be hoping for from such a tempting pitch: Keep a bunch of weirdos alive on an island, and those weirdos can be Tim Schafer and Ed McMillen. They’ve only four days left on their Kickstarter to raise another $15,000. Want to know why you should? The development team have promised they’ll answer any questions about anything you like in the comments below this post.

Professional Farmer 2014 Is A Game, And Has A Demo

By John Walker on December 2nd, 2013 at 3:00 pm.

I don’t know what’s a joke any more. When people are championing Euro Truck Simulator as a genuinely good game, it’s made everything far too confusing. Is it really? I’ve not played it. The slew of ludicrously meticulous mundanity sims with italicised white lettering was something I thought we could just poke fun at. But now what? Professional Farmer 2014 is a thing. That’s the name of a game. I feel like I should be safe to tip my head back and laugh. But I’m not, am I? What if it’s brilliant? What if cats ARE dogs? Well, there’s a demo so we can all find out.

I hope that feature will be only optional. When I have time to play (after work), it is often dark outside... i don't want to play only night levels.

And on a rainy day, it would be depressing if it rains in the game, too. I won't stay inside on a sunny day to finally have beautiful graphic ingame. ;)

To be honest I haven't played any big total conversion style mods for some time. It's mostly small inhancements and tweaksfor me these days. I feel the rise of indies has in many ways replaced my desire for bigger mods in games. That and there are just so many god damn games comming out these days it's easy to forget to check the mod scene. I really need to check out the Witcher 2 scene to see if there is anything interesting going on there since they released the SDK.

Not really. Titans don't come cheap and neither does that case.

Plus, he would be cherry-picking the 3930K's for the best clockers, that certainly doesn't come cheap, I spent hundreds doing that to find a good 3930K and sold the ones that didn't hit my expectations.
And that Cable Management and Water Loop is pretty top notch. (You can spend another few grand on that alone.)

Still, for that price I would fully expect Quad-Titans and a 4930K at the very least, prefer Quad Radeon 290X or Geforce 780Ti however, especially if it's use is only for gaming.

I'm interested to see how many people spend that much and only run at 1080P though. :P

Also I wan't this:

Anyone feel like throwing 10 grand my way? Haha

--::{PC Gaming Master Race}::--

What can I say.

I can see an amateur having to buy CPUs to try them and re-selling the ones that don't meet the expectations, but for a professional that's a very bad business plan. He should have deals with stores or other custom PC vendors to sell him the best CPUs for, say an extra 15% over its retail price so both can win.

And yes, the case by itself is expensive, and watercooling and cable routing is very good, but that has more to do with man hours tiding it rather than simple expensive products.

Yesterday I say a review of a custom build PC

Specifications

  • CPU Intel Core i7-4770K, overclocked to 4.4GHz
  • Motherboard Asus Maximus VI Gene
  • RAM 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1,600MHz
  • Graphics card 2 x Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 3GB in SLI with custom limited edition SLI bridge.
  • Case Parvum Systems custom micro-ATX case
  • Cooling XSPC Raystorm CPU waterblock, EK Fittings, dual 120mm-fan radiator and EK-DCP 4.0 X-RES pump, Mayhems coolant, BeQuiet Silent Wings fans
  • Storage 240GB Corsair LS SSD, Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 2TB
  • PSU Corsair HX1000
  • Extras Pexon PC braided cables
  • Operating system Windows 7 64-bit
  • WarrantyTwo-year collect and return

Store: http://www.computerplanet.co.uk/gaming/nvidia-4k-battle-box/builder.html

And that's £2,742 (inc VAT). Replace the 780 with 780Ti and it's £2,927.17inc. vat. Almost as good for gaming for less than 1/3 of the price and size.

Btw, I'd love that seat, but I'd need to get a bigger house first!
