I hope no one here is surprised by Overwatch's success. I mean I love that game and I have never even played it.

I'm not surprised, but I can't help but wonder if it deserves to be such a big success.

And no, I haven't played it either.

Please excuse my bad English.

I'd say it does. Content or not, the gameplay is absolutely solid and in a competitive MP game you don't need anything else. If Rocket League deserves its success, so does Overwatch.

I don't understand Rocket League success either.

I know the kind of game that it is, but besides being free on PS for a while, I don't get how it became the phenomenon that it is.

Just checked out some Titan X reviews. Seems it's pretty much consistently 80% above the 980ti in both 1440p and 4k. Seems fine to upgrade.

I just hope that by the time I can buy it they will have finally released a proper monitor. I'm looking for 3440x1440, G-Sync, 144Hz. So far the ones available only go up to 100Hz.

What I said, very solid core gameplay. It's hard to describe if you haven't experienced it but I don't think it's exaggerated to say that it's the most fluid, responsive, intuitive gameplay ever created across all genres.

It's a bit like Hearthstone in that regard. A lot of thought has gone into visual and audio feedback and the satisfaction of the core gameplay so that it's apealing to both beginners and pros. The reason that it could stick around that long and is still going strong is the extremely high skill ceiling and constant content updates.

That translates into "it's a fun and challenging game". I get that, butI still find surprising how quickly those games became the smash hits that are, specially Rocket League since it came from an unknown studio.

And I expect some ultrawide 144Hz G-Sync monitors by the end of the year. Acer launched the X34 Predator last year, and it already achieved 100Hz.
