THX for the info! Downloading it right now! The only small flaw is that to claim it, it's necessary to install GOG's beta client, that isn't bad, but its installer currently doesn't let you choose which partition and folder to install it in.

I didn't know that.

I have an HDD just for games, and I could choose to install it there without problems.

Not the game, I just checked and that can be installed wherever you want, clicking on "options" in the setup, as usual with most GOG games, just the client to access the site that GOG's is currently beta testing, and as it's not only a beta, but quite heavy too, and once again I quite underestimated in my new main HDD the right size for partition C ( I still have almost 14GB free out of 55, but once Windows managed to fill so much of them with old log files that a win update failed for lack of space, and it took me some time to find what had gobbled it all up ), I'd have preferred to install it elsewhere.

The GOG Galaxy client needs less than 9 MB space, that's 0.009 GB or 0.000009 TB. Everything else (games, temporary game installers, extras) can be set to another partition by default, so you don't have to change the directory for every game:

Nvidia has changed its mind about 3 and 4-Way SLI... and for the worse:

GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 3-Way and 4-Way SLI will not be enabled for games

http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/GeForce-GTX-1080-and-1070-3-Way-and-4-Way-SLI-will-not-be-enabled-games

You'll likely recall that during our initial review of the GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition graphics card, we mentioned that NVIDIA was going to be moving people towards the idea that "only 2-Way SLI will be supported" and promoted. There would still be a path for users that wanted 3 and 4 GPU configurations anyway, and it would be called the Enthusiast Key.

(...)

Before going to press with this story I asked NVIDIA for comment directly: when was the community finally going to get the Enthusiast Key website to unlock 3-Way and 4-Way SLI for those people crazy enough to have purchased that many GTX 1080s? The answer was quite surprising: NVIDIA is backing away from the idea of an "Enthusiast Key" and will no longer require it for enabling 3-Way and 4-Way SLI.

(...)

NVIDIA will enable support for three and four card configurations in future drivers (without a key) for specific overclocking/benchmarking tools only, as a way to make sure the GeForce brand doesn't fall off the 3DMark charts. Only those specific applications will be able operate in the 3-Way and 4-Way SLI configurations that you have come to know. There are no profiles to change manually and even the rare games that might have "just worked" with three or four GPUs will not take advantage of more than two GTX 10-series cards. It's fair to say at this point that except for the benchmarking crowd, NVIDIA 3-Way and 4-Way SLI is over.

About games, I know, and good to know that client is actually quite light, but now I wonder why GOG Galaxy installer is 135MB big to install a 9MB client...

Sorry, my fault. The GOG.com folder is the old GOG-downloader, the new folder is "GalaxyClient" with 101 MB / 0.1 GB.

Still no biggy, even with an SSD.

I almost forgot I still have the GoG Galaxy client installed, I should probably be using it a bit more often considering it's the cleanest looking of most clients out there with Blizz being second.

l0l - my fourth client installed.

Steam, Origin, Uplay and now GOG Galaxy.

It's funny because I find Galaxy a far better client than Origin and Uplay and since it's entirely optional and GoG having actual sales along with not locking games to their client gives it a far better lead than EA/Ubisoft will ever hope to have.

For me It's Steam, Battle.net, Galaxy and the lesser used Origin.

No problem. I'm fussy about unmodifiable install directory also for relatively small programs, but after MS started trying to persuade users to accept Win 10, once it corrupted Win Update libraries, the update became incredibly slow and with so many error messages that Windows managed to create some GB's of logfiles. I prefer also to avoid installing other SW on C:, if possible, for some other reasons, to keep some order, keep the system partition's fragmentation as little as possible and keeping the number of files it contains as small as possible too, as Windows already fills it with tens, even hundreds thousands files, making searches very slow, I prefer to avoid making them even slower, and also browsing the results becomes slower (Linux has far better and powerful search tools).

Don't do it!

That way you'll be able to buy one from them for cheap
