By the way, I found a Radeon Pro Duo review at PCPer

http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Graphics-Cards/AMD-Radeon-Pro-Duo-Review

The summary is quite obvious: 980Ti SLI is faster, with better frame times, cheaper and uses less power.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Isn't PD meant for VR creation and not purely just for gaming?.

I knew it, it's technically same R9 Nano CF.

Yes it is, and those benches show it.

At least it's a possible upgrade for those with a 295X2.

Yep, a bit faster since the watercooling allows the chips to run a bit faster, but it's basically that.

That's kinda why I never thought to even have that card on my radar with it's price and it's main purpose.

They should have launched it late last year as they originally said. Who's going to buy that with Pascal and Polaris almost upon us?

Suckers?, there are always going to be a bunch of those. Besides even with the other two coming up I'm more or less now going with the results of 980's becoming cheaper so I can grab another.

That's a positive side effect from Polaris/Pascal. Current cards will go down in price, and if you're fine buying second hand hardware, used 980s will be quite cheap.

I suppose from a currency standpoint, for me it's more or less my only option if the new cards aren't going to be any better than the 980ti.

We'll have to rely on Nvidia to see something noticeably better than the 980Ti given that AMD is focusing on the "mainstream" market.
