The engine is made for console... What can i say. :/

Did you also know that for QB, film grain is forced as part of the egine with the game?, taking it out and trying to alter the engine just won't cut it and would give off worse performance, like you said the engine was made for the X1 and not both PC and X1.

And that is very sad because it shows that MSoft and Remedy never had the intention to port the game to PC. I was expecting that from MSoft, but not from Remedy.

All that's happened so far with 10, the PC focus and the shitty prots along with UWP shows that MS still isn't that interested in fully comitting to PC gaming. I always found it strange how they suddenly showed up at the PC e3 the other year and gave us the usual "we truly care and want you back" speech and now I see where all this is ehaded, it's basically GFWL 2.0 in a nutshell with the usual "no it isn't" excuses but the writing is on the wall, if it wasn't like GFWL we wouldn't be getting any of what's happend so far at all, not even a desire to make a closed off walled garden either. THey want that garden till the bitter end because they know that once it's allowed and achieved, they will have a good chunk if not a lot of PC gaming on lockdown foreve and having things go their way in terms of no mod support and devs and competition coming to them instead of the other way around.

MS reminds me of that guy who got shit on for years and doesn't want to take it anymore, so now he wants to beat everyone into blind submission until he egts his own way, I honestly hope that backfires tremendously.

^MSoft just wants the money that Valve gets, they don't really care about the games.

In better news, Final Fantasy IX has finally launched on Steam! And with a 20% discount, no less!

The thing is they won't really get the same amount let alone anywhere enar what Valve gets the way they are going about things, even if they "do right" by PC gamers it still won't amount to much and just be the absolute basics, 12 more years of basics won't really get them to being over Steam's value if anything and it'll just amount to what MS has currently gone through with 3 gens of wasted effort and money.

Also you posted that near finished Aliens CM overhaul mod yet =P?.

Oh, I see that there's a new version. I'll post it in the news, unless you do it first.

Some more news, including another debatable move from Microsoft:

Windows 10 BSOD Errors to Come with Troubleshooting QR-Codes

http://www.techpowerup.com/221678/windows-10-bsod-errors-to-come-with-troubleshooting-qr-codes

With its latest Preview Build (build 14316), Microsoft patched Windows 10 to make BSOD (blue-screen of death) errors more useful for system analysts and power-users. The blue-screen now puts up a QR-code to the knowledge-base page related to the error. Microsoft also set up an easy to remember URL at "windows.com/stopcode" for quick-reference to info and possible fixes to various kinds of errors.

The Register makes a valid case for how QR-codes in BSOD screens can be misused by malware developers. Malware or ransomware developers can now make their wares fake a BSOD screen with a QR-code that leads to their web-page to steal your information, or point you to download even more malware.

http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-pro-duo-unboxing/#ixzz45nLm4Fko

The flagship AMD Radeon Pro Duo graphics card has been unboxed by various sources. The behemoth featuring two full fat Fiji XT cores toppled with HBM DRAM is a 16 TFLOPs compute cruncher that is designed for both enthusiast gamers and professional users. >>What you see in the hand, is a spare Fiji chip that can be used as a key chain

AMD's Polaris 10 leaked screenshots show a 1050MHz core clock

http://www.tweaktown.com/news/51610/amds-polaris-10-leaked-screenshots-show-1050mhz-core-clock/index.html

Some strange new screenshots of rather benign parts of the operating system might just show the verifiable, bona fide existence of AMD's Polaris 10 GPU. Someone decided to show off the device ID of an installed GPU and corresponding AMD Graphics Manager shots with that list the operating frequency of the elusive GPU.

VRWorld received a small tip from someone in the industry (supposedly) with some evidence of working engineering samples of the upcoming Polaris 10 GPU. We've recently learned the device ID's that are supposed to be associated to the new Radeon R9 4xxx series of cards, and this matches up perfectly. This happens to be one of them, if it's not doctored. Interestingly, the clock speed of the card is at only 1050MHz.

>>Just remember that this is a rumor and an engineering sample, take it with all the salt available.

New, and rather weird, rumors about AMD's Polaris cards:

AMD Radeon R9 480 and Radeon R9 470 Series Detailed – Polaris 10 “Ellesmere” Has Around 100W TDP, Polaris 11 “Baffin” Under 50W

http://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-r9-480-470-polaris-10-polaris-11/#ixzz45oQFVIhv

Since AMD is going to introduce their new products, they already have two under production and ready to unveil to consumers. Benchlife reveals that the Polaris 10 GPU which is codenamed “Ellesmere” is going to be featured on the Radeon R9 480 series graphics boards. These graphics boards will feature TDP around 100W (110-135W) and as demonstrated at Capsaicin, will have no trouble running latest DirectX 12 titles at 1440P with stable 60 FPS.

The other GPU, Polaris 11 which is codenamed Baffin will be an even less power hungry chip replacing the Radeon R7 370 series. This graphics board will have a TDP of under 50W and is already revealed to be very efficient compared to 28nm counterparts. It’s obvious to point that AMD is strictly eyeing huge efficiency improvements with their Polaris GPUs which will lead them to deliver great solutions across the PC market (Desktops and Notebooks).

The last interesting topic we are covering today is also about the Polaris 11 GPU. The website LaptopMedia has already got hands on a laptop which features an early Polaris 11 GPU sample. From the looks of it, the Polaris 11 based notebook they received is not high-end but a low to mid-range model based on its specifications and comes with the brand new GCN 4.0 GPU we know as Polaris 11 that was already demonstrated on desktops.

Honestly, I'm just posting this for the lulz, because I don't believe it at all. Well, except the laptop part, that may or may not be true.
