Part 2:
NECROPOLIS DELAYED UNTIL SUMMER
http://www.pcgamer.com/necropolis-delayed-until-summer/
Necropolis, Harebrained Schemes' beautiful, procedurally generated Souls-alike, has been pushed all the way back from next month to summer. Studio head Mitch Gitelman himself took to the Steam community forums to announce the delay as a result of the devs' decision to launch simultaneously on PC and consoles.
BATTALION 1944 KICKSTARTER ADDS STRETCH GOALS, INCLUDING A SINGLE-PLAYER CAMPAIGN
http://www.pcgamer.com/battalion-1944-kickstarter-adds-stretch-goals-including-a-single-player-campaign/
It was three weeks ago that the Kickstarter for the World War Two multiplayer shooter Battalion 1944 blew past its initial £100,000/$145,000 goal, yet it's only today that developer Bulkhead Interactive got around to announcing stretch goals. The good news is that a single-player campaign is among them. The bad news is, it ain't gonna happen.
THE DIVISION: NEW YORK COLLAPSE TEASES A MYSTERY WRAPPED IN A SURVIVAL GUIDE
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-division-new-york-collapse-teases-a-mystery-wrapped-in-a-survival-guide/
The March 8 launch of The Division will be accompanied by the simultaneous release of The Division: New York Collapse, a “meta-novel” survival guide written (in the game's fiction) before the fall of New York City. But it's not just a survival guide. The real juice lies in the “handwritten notes” added to the book by its previous owner, who was apparently in hot pursuit of the forces behind the collapse before she fell victim to misfortune. Now the book, and the mystery, have ended up in your hands.
GEARBOX REVEALS THREE NEW BATTLEBORN HEROES
http://www.pcgamer.com/gearbox-reveals-three-new-battleborn-heroes/
Gearbox has unveiled three new Heroes who will join the fray in its upcoming "hero shooter" Battleborn: an “offbeat and imperfect facsimile of a soldier” named Whiskey Foxtrot, a massive ice golem called Kelvin, and Shayne & Aurox, an angsty teenage girl who's somehow become bonded with a mean-looking alien.
PROCEDURALLY GENERATED RACER KRAUTSCAPE HAS EXITED EARLY ACCESS
http://www.pcgamer.com/procedurally-generated-racer-krautscape-has-exited-early-access/
Stylish procedurally generated racer Krautscape has exited Early Access after two years in development. Phil wrote about the game back in 2013, describing it as a "visually fetching indie racer with weird folded wing-like cars". That's as good a sales pitch as any, but the real drawcard is the game's tracks, which generate as you race on them. That sounds like it'd be a hassle, but if you check out the gameplay trailer below, the freshly generated twists and turns are heavily telegraphed.
TRUCK SIMULATORS TO GET STEAM WORKSHOP SUPPORT
http://www.pcgamer.com/truck-simulators-to-get-steam-workshop-support/
On a Venn diagram, the modding and trucking communities are pretty much one circle. What Truck Simulator player doesn't want to customise their rig or convoy with thousands of other drivers online? Yes, modding is alive and well in SCS' sims, but the devs are set on making things easier still by implementing Steam Workshop support.
>>Just what this game needed, more ways for people to share their mods/creations. Because , who doesn't want a Hello Kitty themed Scania?
