I couldn't help but feel the name of the DLC is extremly appropriate for the PC release of this game - if you leave out the most wanted part. After all, the infamy this game generated this summer season after the broken mess it was at release couldn't get a more appropriate name if you tried to.

At first, I saw "Arkham Knight" and "Infamy" and thought they were talking about even more problems. Then I saw the rest of the story.

So yeah, I get what you mean.

Well considering the rep they earned from PC gamers and the loud ruckus they created, it's not surprising that it didn't damage them hard enough that they have a name to ride on and spin it into something to possibly be proud of (at least proud from a marketing PR perspective).

I'm just disappointed that the series ended on such a sour note for PC gamers which could have been completely avoided if WB cared in the first place.

Have to say i dont find the Steam sales great this year imo.

Pretty much

Better sales for steam keys on GMG, Humble Store, Amazon and other places lol

I'm mainly looking at Amazon right now for sales - they have some sales that arent even on Steam sale ;p

I can't even seem to shop lol.

Also noticed Witcher 3 having a paltry 50% off which seems pretty tight of CDPR, especially for the biggest SS of the year. I feel with the lack of having to adhere to dailies and flash sales, devs have more control and bargening power now more than ever since the percentage cuts won't be altered as much if at all in the future, this means I'll end up using key sites and Valve will eventually get this message hopefully sooner than much later on, same with devs since we came here for epic sales not paltry minor cuts.

I tried to buy Witcher 1 enhanced edition only for the store to crash once I tried paying but the payment both went through and put the game in my library but kept it at the pay page while also being in the cart.

Also might pass on the SE bundle, the last bundle you linked on DOOM was a good one I snagged though.

As I said yesterday, I also had some troubles during the first hour or so of the Sales (I had the same same problem when buying a gift as you, Chazore), but after that it went back to normal.

And while the sales aren't exactly mind blowing, I'll probably get at least a couple of games. Cities Skylines for 11.19€ with a 60% off is quite good and very tempting, as is Gat Out Of Hell at 5.09 € and a 66% off. Who knows, maybe I'll end buying 3 games and reach 100 games on Steam!

There are plenty of games with discounts of 60% or higher! That's nothing to complain about.

By the way, I have a couple of news regarding AMD

AMD Radeon R9 Fury X2 ‘Gemini’ not coming this year: http://videocardz.com/58013/amd-confirms-radeon-r9-fury-x2-gemini-has-been-delayed

The original article is from hardware.fr (so if anyone knows french, they can read it here), but it basically says that Fury X2 was targeted for VR devices and, sincee those have been delayed, AMD has devided to do the same.

Samsung rumoured to be making chips for AMD next year: http://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/matthew-wilson/samsung-rumoured-to-be-making-chips-for-amd-next-year/

With GloFo and Samsung being partners the move is unexpected but not too surprising. But it makes me wonder, can Samsung use this partnership (if true, of course) to gauge how viable is the graphic cards market and use it to decide if they're going to buy AMD or not?

Well, I've managed to get my 1,000 € build done. Honestly, I thought it would be a lot easier, and I've been forced to cut some corners.

Damn you HoloDust and your american prices. You're spoiling us

As you can see, there are a lot of components that are reused. The big changes are:

+New CPU platform: I've gone with an Intel CPU, one of the new Sky Lake processors with a matching motherboard and DDR4 RAM (of which I had to settle with only 8GB )

+Better GPU:  The R9 390 is a great GPU that will surely last until the end of this gen of consoles. I could have gone with a slightly cheaper 970, but the 390 is usually on par with it and the true 8GB of VRAM might come in handly. Also, I don't trust Nvidia. When the 3.5+0.5GB thing was revealed, Nvidia said that it didn't matter because they managed the memory allocation on a game to game basis through the drivers, and after what happened with some game releases and the Kepler drivers, that doesn't inspire confidence.

+New PSU: A 390 needs more power, so a 600W is required.

+Better, wireless, keyboard and mouse.

To be able to include a Radeon R9 390 in a $1000 build that also includes an OS is pretty impressive.

Could you tell about that relaitvely expensive keyboard? Why is it worth its price?

And the CPU-cooler, how much overclock will it be able to achieve?

The keyboard doesn't have anything special, to be honest. I chose it because it was one of the cheapest combos I saw from a known and reputable brand. As you've seen on its Amazon page, it's just a regular keyboard+mouse combo where the only remarcable characteristics are that it has media keys and that it's wireless.

If those two things aren't important, you could pick the cheaper Logitech MK120 for 20.90 €

As for the cooler, unfortunately the overclock will be none, as its a non "K" Intel processor and that means that it can't overclock. I must say, though, that some boards (from ASRock and MSI) can now overclock i3 processors increasing their base clock, but in none of them talked about the i5 chips.

But if the chip allowed overclocking, the Hyper 212 is a good cooler and should be able to take care of it.

THAT DRAGON, CANCER LAUNCHES IN JANUARY

http://www.pcgamer.com/that-dragon-cancer-launches-in-january/

That Dragon, Cancer is a tribute to and remembrance of Joel Green, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer at 12 months of age and, despite being given just a few months to live, died in March 2014 at age five. His parents, Ryan and Amy, came up with the idea when Joel was four and successfully Kickstarted it at the end of 2014, and today announced that it will be released on January 12, 2016, which would have been Joel's seventh birthday.

IS THIS BATTLEFIELD 4 EASTER EGG THE MOST COMPLEX EVER?

http://www.pcgamer.com/is-this-battlefield-4-easter-egg-the-most-complex-ever/

An Easter egg, in videogame terms, is a fun little something stashed away inside a game that can only be found through persistence, luck, or most often, a combination of both. Remember John Romero's head, or Gordon Freeman in the Australian outback? Both Easter eggs. Some are harder to find than others, but I'm not aware of any that are even remotely as complex as this Battlefield 4 secret documented by YouTuber Jackfrags.

NETHACK GETS ITS FIRST UPDATE IN 12 YEARS

http://www.pcgamer.com/nethack-gets-its-first-update-in-12-years/

Nethack is a very old school roguelike, with a lineage that traces directly back to the 1980 classic Rogue. It was originally released in 1987, and went through various updates over the years, culminating in version 3.4.3, which came out in 2003 and is, for the record, fully Y2K-compliant. And that was it—until earlier this month, when Nethack 3.6 was released into the world.

The message to the community is more of a tome, but adjustments will focus primarily on the Alexander: Gordias (Savage) raid, Exploratory Missions, and the Anima weapons that were added in patch 3.15.

CHRISTMAS TRUCE FALLS ON WW1 SHOOTER VERDUN

http://www.pcgamer.com/christmas-truce-falls-on-ww1-shooter-verdun/

Huddled in the trenches of northern France, soldiers on both sides of World War 1 began to adopt a 'live and let live' attitude towards their enemies, agreeing informal truces to recover the dead and wounded or simply enjoy a little peace. As the story goes, on Christmas Day, 1914, occasional indifference to enemy activity culminated in a carol sing-off and an international football match amid the devastation. The scale and details of the event are contested by historians, but it's a heartwarming tale to come out of an otherwise black period, and the fantasy has made for one of the best holiday events I've seen: the Christmas Truce is in place in WW1 shooter Verdun.
