With only an overclock over the 8GB model, I don't see much appeal for the 7600XT, but it will be interesting to see reviews and find out if there is a performance increase, if it's as big as AMD claims and how much of that increase is because of the higher clocks.

Something kind of similar with the 4070 Super, althought this one has more cores to bring a real performance increase that may, or not, justify the extra $50.

NVIDIA launches GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series: $999 RTX 4080S, $799 RTX 4070 TiS and $599 RTX 4070S

And even the prices were correct.

That should push the prices down across the top of the stack both for AMD and NVidia. I'm expecting $850 for the 7900XTX and $700 for the 7900XT within a couple months or even weeks, and maybe a slight price drop again for the 7800XT.

AMD Ryzen 8000G Zen4 APU series launch January 31, Ryzen 7 8700G competes with desktop GeForce GTX 1650 in gaming

I have a hard time believing that it will be as fast as a 1650 when 780M was slower than a 1650 mobile in independent tests. But we will see.

Keep in mind this one will have more TDP, so it can clock higher, or more precisely, hold that higher clock speed much better. Plus, bandwidth is still the biggest limiter, so with fast RAM like DDR5-7600 there should be a big improvement over the DDR5-4800 of the 780M.

Edit: As for the 7600XT, I think it's somewhat overpriced - but that is due to the price of the 7600 being too high in the first place, that one should be more like $230 and the XT version around $270. At that point AMD would have a great lineup for budget-conscious buyers, but not with these prices.

At least AMD isn't overcharging nearly as much for 8GB VRAM than the 4060Ti and added some higher clocks to boot...

Maybe but when you are going to start pairing up high end ram kits, better off with a 6600XT or 7600 at that point

Intel needs 30 watts to match AMD at 25 watts. The Claw can go upto 45 watts in their "Extreme Performance" mode but also has a normal 30 watt and 15 watt mode. 53 wHr battery but from what we have seen on the Steam Deck, imo anything above 15 watts is useless for a handheld unless the battery is big. Cause these things cost $700 which is a big ask while needing to deal with windows and it's horrid sleep function and UI. It's still pre-production sample but I doubt much will change on release.

At $1200 for 4k 32 inch OLED, it's an amazing price. Likely all the other monitors will be around this price too while not being curved. Crazy that in 2021, we had garbage like PG32UQX asking $3000 USD for a 32 inch 4k 144hz Mini-LED panel. 2024 will be the year of the pc gaming monitors!

It's not even a 10% increase in "game" clocks. 2.25Ghz to 2.47Ghz. Base clock is the same, max boost is only 100mhz more.
I would have actually have liked to see AMD go with 12GB of Ram on a 192-bit bus, 12GB would be the sweet spot for that Tier, but the bandwidth boost would be notable.

Otherwise ram is the same speed.

I'm expecting this card to be a fairly disappointing improvement in benchies over the 7600.

Better than the nVidia 4600 scenario, but still not ideal.

This GPU would be an ideal 1080P card, which is what the vanilla 7600 targets... But I would still rather find a more capable 6700xt/6750xt and call it a day for about the same price, if you can find one that is.

Unity is laying off 25% of its workforce in what it's calling a 'company reset'
https://www.pcgamer.com/unity-is-laying-off-25-of-its-workforce-in-what-its-calling-a-company-reset/
After laying off 600 people and closing multiple offices earlier in the year, engine maker Unity warned in November 2023 that further layoffs were likely. In an SEC filing made today, the company confirmed that it is cutting roughly 25% of its current workforce in order to "position itself for long-term and profitable growth."
This is the fourth round of layoffs over the past year, according to a Reuters report, and will be the largest ever at Unity. Approximately 1,800 people will be put out of work by the layoffs, which Unity said will impact "all teams, regions, and areas of the business." A Unity rep told Reuters that further changes to the company are coming, but details were not provided.
