PLAYSTATION 4 REMOTE PLAY IS OFFICIALLY COMING TO PC & MAC

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/playstation-4-remote-play-is-officially-coming-to-pc-mac/

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios at Sony Computer Entertainment, revealed today that Sony is working on an official Playstation 4 Remote Play application for PC and Mac. Shuhei did not reveal anything more than that, however we believe that Sony saw the great potential of such an application after every gaming outlet focusing on the unofficial one that has been under development for quite some time.

>>What a wonderful coincidence that this happens after someone else has done it first, right? You can discuss it in Abbath's thread: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=210657

ALPHA CENTAURI MOD GIVES THE SCI-FI CLASSIC A MODERN UI

http://www.pcgamer.com/alpha-centauri-mod-gives-the-sci-fi-classic-a-modern-ui/

Alpha Centauri is one of PC's finest strategy games, but its dated UI makes revisiting it a bit of a chore. But, thanks to the efforts of artist Keegan Chua, we'll soon be able to play it with a modern interface inspired by the likes of Civ V and Endless Legend.

>>You can watch a video of the new UI following the link. To those of you that have played the game, what do you think about the new UI?

http://www.dsogaming.com/news/fallout-4-first-texture-mod-overhauls-terrain-surfaces-uses-less-vram-realistic-lights-mod/

Fallout 4 fans, here is something for you today. Modder ‘Hein84’ released the first Texture mod for Fallout 4 that overhauls the game’s terrain surfaces. What is also amazing is that while these overhauled textures look better than the original ones, they are also about 1/4 less V-Ram heavy.

>>You should definitely check the comparison pics in the link. It's like going from playing on low to ultra. Very impressive.

CODEMASTERS RE-DEDICATES ITSELF TO RACING GAMES

http://www.pcgamer.com/codemasters-re-dedicates-itself-to-racing-games/

We didn't review Overlord: Fellowship of Evil, but you can get an idea of how it went over on Metacritic, where it sports a brow-furrowing aggregate review score of 24/100. That's "generally unfavorable" in Meta-parlance, which I think is a remarkably generous way of putting it. In the wake of that ugliness, and the recent closure of the studio that made the mobile card game Battle Decks, Codemasters told Eurogamer that it's giving up on other genres in order to focus exclusively on racing games.

ARK: SURVIVAL EVOLVED TURKEY TRAIL EVENT INTRODUCES MIGHTY DODOREX

http://www.pcgamer.com/ark-survival-evolved-turkey-trail-event-introduces-mighty-dodorex/

It's Thanksgiving, so this is the natural time to add giant fire-breathing Dodos to your game. Sadly you can only summon Ark: Survival Evolved's newest monster after harvesting wishbones from tough Super Turkeys. Alternatively, because this is a survival game in 2015, you can turn those Super Turkey bits into a "Chieftain" hat, modeled above.

THE RAINBOW SIX SIEGE OPEN BETA IS NOW UNDERWAY

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-rainbow-six-siege-open-beta-is-now-underway/

The Rainbow Six Siege open beta, which was delayed at the last minute because of problems with matchmaking and connectivity, is now underway. In an update posted earlier today, Ubisoft announced that those problems have been solved and the beta, as of 12 pm EST, is open.

FEZ FINALLY GETS THE NOTEBOOK IT NEEDS IN $100 LIMITED EDITION

http://www.pcgamer.com/fez-finally-gets-the-notebook-it-needs-in-100-limited-edition/

Originally released in 2013, Fez is a clever and tremendously popular platformer that, as we noted in our review, suffered from one particular shortcoming: "Being download-only, it's a pity that Fez can't somehow come packed with its most essential peripherals: a notepad and pen." Two and a half years later, that problem has been solved in the Fez Limited Edition—at least for gamers willing to pay the price.

STEAM INTRODUCES "TRADE HOLDS" TO HELP PROTECT AGAINST SCAMMERS

http://www.pcgamer.com/steam-introduces-trade-holds-to-help-protect-against-scammers/

In an order to clamp down on Steam scammers, Valve is introducing "trade holds," which will insert a three-day waiting period between the conclusion of a trade deal and its actual execution. The idea is to give Steam users an opportunity to discover that their accounts have been compromised, and to do something about it, before their inventory is traded away.

GRIM DAWN UPDATE LAUNCHES FINAL ACT

http://www.pcgamer.com/grim-dawn-update-launches-final-act/

Somewhere between the delicate stat-tinkering of Path of Exile and the dopamine dispenser of Diablo 3, there's space for Grim Dawn, an action RPG that's we first wrote about four years and eight months ago. It might be almost finished by the end of the year perhaps!

HITMAN 2: SILENT ASSASSIN IS FREE FOR THE WEEKEND

http://www.pcgamer.com/hitman-2-silent-assassin-is-free-for-the-weekend/

Square Enix has a pretty massive sale on its online store at the moment. In keeping with the spirit of Black Friday, the publisher has discounted a tonne of its back catalogue, but more importantly, you can get discounts on preorders too. More important than either of those, though, is that you can download Hitman 2: Silent Assassin for zero dollars.

>>Hmm, in the middle of a Sale? That's pure genious or pure madness, I'm not sure.

^I don't know what to say. I posted the news about the Crimson Drivers and then I also posted some articles about them and the changes and improvements it brings. And then I even posted that with those new drivers, all the non GCN cards were moved into legacy status.

But I guess you just don't read my news .

Maybe you'll read this one: PEGI lists Final Fantasy VI for PC http://www.pegi.info/en/index/global_id/505/?searchString=final+fantasy+vi

But it will probably be the hated mobile version.

Sweet, so now it only leaves FF1+2 and 9,10&12 then the complete collection is on steam xD . I now 100% think that FF15 will also come to PC at this stage since it would be a no brainer for them.

Yep, I'd be very surprised if future Final Fantasy games don't get a PC port given Square's push for the platform. That said, I also doubt it will be a simultaneous launch.

I'd love FF 9 on PC. I get it on PS1 and I'd get it again on PC.

Yeah i also dont think it will be released at the same time as the console versions (But then it also wouldnt surprise me), I think it will come a year after the console versions and be using DX12 since SE seemed very interested in DX12.

The thing that bothers me the most about some devs being inteested in DX 12 is that they add in some features later and people mistake them for adding a few things to the game, not building it entirely from the ground up natively with DX 12, I would hope they make a game that is built up entirely on it though.

Yes, id love if SE done something with that DX12 crying Witch demo that they done. That thing was amazing and running in real time, so id really love if SE didnt let that work go to waste and was planning on doing something with it.

Oh definitely, I'd love to see something like that but I feel with how this gen is going and how buddy buddy they are with Sony I can guess that we won't be seeing anything at that level of detail and power for another 5 maybe 10 years if they keep focusing on waker hardware first and a gen market than an open one.

Recently beat RE 6 on PC, gotta say the game was absolutely terrible compared to the other games and Capcom should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to the Resident Evil Series with that entry. I'll probably try RE Revalations 2 episode one soon on the PC as I own it and really enjoyed Re Revalations on the WIi U.

I can agree t an extent, I loved Leon's scenario for the game but loathed Chris's and Weskers son, haven't even bothered with Ada's because me and my mate got pretty bored with the game by then. I really hope Resi 7 goes back to being horror and not another over the shoulder action game that focuses on bio terrorism because that's been done to death at this point.

Sorry D:

I skim through but never usually pay attention to driver news - I should change that after this experience. Loving the interface and I'm surprised that AMD partnered up with Raptr (which I have been using last few years). I was wondering why my PC game data was not being updated but after installing the new drivers and noticing Raptr showing up in my processes list in task manager I was like what :O.

Pay attention Basil! There's a bug in the last Crimson drivers that affects the fan, making it to not go higher than 20%.

http://wccftech.com/crimson-driver-fan-bug-acknowledged-by-amd-hot-fix-coming/

AMD will launch a hotfix today, but it's worth keeping that in mind if you have a 7xxx or newer card and/or have messed with the fan profiles.

It's a bug, we're planning to fix this and some of the other commonly mentioned issues in Crimson in a soon to be released driver.

You can fix this particular issue by performing a fresh reinstallation of the drivers, but this time do not touch the fan speed setting in Global Overdrive within Crimson. This should leave the default setting and not cause this issue to occur.
