AMD has failed to launch HYPR-RX on time

https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-has-failed-to-launch-hypr-rx-technology-on-time

Feels like it's been bad news after bad news since RDNA 3 launched. A lot of the promised software like FSR 3 and Hyper RX are still MIA.

ASUS shows off RTX 4060 Ti graphics card with M.2 SSD slot

Very interesting design as m.2 slots are certainly limited in a lot of motherboards. But the issue is whether or not the ssd will throttle due to heat from GPU.

Well, I wouldn't put a Gen5 drive in a GPU, and neither one of those Gen4 drives that also run quite hot without a heatsink.

As a proof of concept, it's interesting. But as a viable product it raises several questions.

Before buying something from the Steam sale I'm waiting to see what the Humble Choice games for this month will be. The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition has already been revealed to be part of it.

Speaking of the 4060, I'll get this laptop probably next month: Asus TUF Gaming A15 FA507NV-LP031W - Jaeger Gray | Livré demain - Krëfel (krefel.be)

CPU: Ryzen 7 7735HS

GPU: RTX 4060

16GB (2x8) RAM

Already 200€ off, so 1349€

What do you guys think?

Looks good to me. I have been seeing some Lenovo 3070 Ti laptops around that price range in Canada so idk if there's any in your area. But it sounds like a good deal for such a newly specd laptop

Here laptops with a 3070Ti basically start at 2000€ and a 3070 is also at least 1600€. Basically the only other viable choice would have been this one (the rest around that price are all 3060s or even 3050s), a 16-inch version  with an RX 7600S and slightly better screen instead for 1399€ - but it lacks the second M.2 slot apparently (it's mentioned on the other model that it has an extra slot, but no mention on this one), which I really need.

Edit: Just read the description and there it's mentioned that it has an empty M.2 slot. So yeah, both are really great at that price point, now I'm not sure which one to buy...

So, I finally made my choice... and it's the second one with the RX 7600S GPU, mainly due to the better screen (and because it was 100€ off).

Should arrive tomorrow, pics will follow

Congrats dude!

The only thing I'll mention just in case is that the 7600S has a max TDP of 80 Watts while the 4060 on the Asus model has a TDP of 115Watts. So I would guess that the 4060 will likely perform much better than the 7600S but the 7600S does cost less and has a better screen as you said. So just pointing that out just in case.

Either is a big step up from my 1050Ti mobile.

Also, the description in the store also just gives the 4060 TUF A15 80W TDP, so performance difference is negligible I'd say.

Weird cause I looked at the exact model on Asus website and it says 115 watts

But yea, regardless, it's a huge step up whether you get 7600S or 4060.
