More than two years after his public falling out with Bethesda Softworks, Doom Eternal composer Mick Gordon has issued a lengthy and detailed statement on his side of the dispute. Gordon claims he was the target of unfair and dishonest behaviour on id Software's part, perpetrated primarily by Doom Eternal executive producer Marty Stratton, but defends his commitment to the game, saying, "I never quit Doom. I quit a toxic client."
The battle for Disco Elysium's soul explodes with new allegations, and is heading to court
https://www.pcgamer.com/battle-between-ousted-disco-elysum-creatives-and-studio-execs-explodes-with-new-allegations-the-company-we-built-has-been-looted/
In October, the news broke that key creatives behind Disco Elysium had left Studio ZA/UM last year. A few days later, founding member of ZA/UM Martin Luiga alleged they had been "fired on false premises". Studio ZA/UM issued a statement about the "collective effort" of game development without substantially commenting on the news, and we were left uncertain as to what transpired at the studio and what to expect from it going forward. Today, the story exploded with surprising allegations from both sides.
Destiny 2 players are trying to solve an ARG involving a sentient gun (Updated)
https://www.pcgamer.com/bungie-has-given-destiny-2s-buggiest-gun-an-amazing-easter-egg/
In the long and inglorious history of bugged PC gear, I'm not sure there has ever been a weapon so notoriously prone to fuckery as Destiny 2's Telesto. (...)
Update 1: Since Telesto first bugged out yesterday, it's become increasingly clear that rather than just being a cute easter egg added by developers with some downtime, this is actually the start of another of Destiny 2's ARG puzzles. (...)
Update 2: Okay, so here's where we are now. Community manager DMG, with tongue firmly in cheek, says the gun is fixed.

https://www.pcgamer.com/call-of-duty-warzone-20-is-making-massive-changes-to-loadouts/
A week out from the release of Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, we're finally starting to learn more about the biggest changes coming to the free-to-play battle royale. While the basic structure of Warzone is still intact—circles, gulags, buy stations—Infinity Ward is fiddling with all the details. Perhaps the most radical change concerns how players will acquire their custom loadouts mid-match.
Give peace a chance: Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0's reworked Gulag will let players call a truce
https://www.pcgamer.com/give-peace-a-chance-call-of-duty-warzone-20s-reworked-gulag-will-let-players-call-a-truce/
Warzone 2.0 is receiving a big shakeup to its second chance system ahead of its launch, introducing PvE elements and an optional cooperative opportunity to its new Gulag. 1v1 duels are gone (for now), replaced with randomly paired teams of two. Players will no longer receive random weaponry, instead having to loot high-powered guns from the middle of the arena.

In an interview with Swedish website Privata Affärer earlier this month, Paradox Interactive CEO Fredrik Wester (who is also the company's resident Great Old One according to his https://www.privataaffarer.se/paradox-hoppas-oka-antalet-spelslapp-per-ar-kommande-aren-vd-1667297349">Twitter bio) was asked about the status of the much-delayed Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Via Google Translate, he said that the company "will probably be able to set a launch date for this game reasonably soon" and called a 2023 launch "absolutely not impossible".
Saints Row November update will be 'a beast', Volition says
https://www.pcgamer.com/saints-row-november-update-will-be-a-beast-volition-says/
In its Autumn update last month, Saints Row developer Volition explained it was prioritizing fixes over new content for its rebooted open-world mayhem game. Though there have been a few hotfixes since its August release, the first big update is due later in November. On its patch hub, Volition has given some more details about exactly what's in the November update, saying it "includes over 200 fixes and quality of life updates, so it's a beast!"

https://www.pcgamer.com/battle-sisters-come-to-action-rpg-warhammer-40000-inquisitor-martyr-this-month/
Neocore's 2018 action-RPG Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr launched with options for your Imperial inquisitor to have a background as an assassin, psyker, or crusader—its equivalent of choosing your class. A year later, the Prophecy expandalone added a tech-adept as a fourth option. Neocore has continued updating what it would clearly like to be a live-service game with seasonal content, and has announced the Sororitas Class DLC will add a playable Sister of Battle to the roster this month.

FIFA's web 3.0 World Cup games make my LOL eclipse the sun
https://www.pcgamer.com/fifas-web-30-world-cup-games-make-my-lol-eclipse-the-sun/
Football's world governing body FIFA has had its name on one of the best-selling videogames in the world for decades now. But that arrangement has come to an end, with Electronic Arts abandoning the license, and in the aftermath one thing has become very clear: FIFA is absolutely clueless about videogames.
Last month came the announcement of a FIFA game in Roblox which, and I swear I'm not making this up, doesn't have football but does have bowling. Now comes a press release trumpeting four new titles, all of which are "future-focused web 3.0 games", and all of which look like absolute rubbish.
Please excuse my bad English.
