You know, now that I think about it, the second contest is kind of weird because the Torrent Compact only has room for one 120mm exhaust fan, which means that if you want to use the 280 AIO cooler that's part of the prize, you'll have to put them as intake at the front of the case, removing the two 180mm fans.

That doesn't look like a good trade off.

*Edit* Nevermind. Looking at the manual, you can put the two 180 mm front fans at the bottom of the case, keeping, if not increasing, the airflow of it, specially for the GPU.

In September 2021, we informed you about an unofficial remaster/remake of The Lord of the Rings. This fan project uses Unreal Engine 5, and we are happy to report that you can download a playable demo for it. In this demo, you’ll get to experience the latest game “Exploration” game mode. In Exploration mode, you can explore all of Helm’s Deep in its true glory and will be sent on multiple quests to prepare for the impending attack on the fortress. You’ll also be able to try out a new feature called “Archer Command”. This will allow you to take control of multiple archer units and command them to fire all at once. As the team noted, this feature will only be available in the campaign and can only be used by one player.

Overwatch 2's rewards suck harder than a DPS Moira. The pivot to free-to-play has made for some aggressive monetisation coupled with weekly rewards that Morgan Park validly described as "insultingly low." A legendary skin now takes around seven months to earn without whipping out a credit card. It takes so damn long that you may actually be better off playing an entirely different game.
That's what a couple of World of Warcraft fans have determined, anyway. A Reddit post earlier this week garnered a fair bit of attention as user Everdale claimed that you could probably earn Overwatch 2 skins faster by playing Blizzard's MMO than you could by playing its hero shooter. Turns out World of Warcraft has a system that lets you purchase tokens with in-game gold, which can then be converted into Battle.net credit. It works out at around $15 USD/£10 GBP per token, which isn't too bad a reward for a bit of gold grinding.

The price ($30) is quite steep, but finally there will be a version of Dwarf Fortress that might be easier to get into. I know there have been some versions/mods with some sort of graphics even before, but an officially supported version is even better. I've tried getting into the game before, but supposedly it can take months to learn, and I haven't had the time nor the dedication for that so far.

Unity Technologies has just released its amazing next-gen tech demo for Unity Engine, called Enemies. As such, everyone can now download this highly advanced tech demo in order to test their PC systems.
Enemies is a cinematic demo showcasing Unity’s latest advancements for rendering high-end digital humans and implementing a strand-based hair solution.
According to Unity Technologies, this tech demo features better 4D pipeline and Skin Attachment system on the GPU to allow for high-density meshes. Furthermore, it has more realistic eyes with caustics on the iris, as well as a new skin shader. Additionally, there is tension tech for blood flow simulation and wrinkle maps, eliminating the need for a facial rig for fine details.

CryZENx has released a new video, showcasing 12 minutes of gameplay footage from his The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time fan remake in Unreal Engine 5. No one is quite sure why Bloodborne is not yet on PC but it's really just a meme now. Sony just recently tweeted a close up picture of Bloodborne asking people to guess what game it was, before being forced to delete it once rumours once again circulated that it was news of a remaster or port. Many of PlayStation's biggest PS4 games have made the jump to PC but Bloodborne is still missing. "But", I say sobbing quietly while cradling my PS5, "who needs Bloodborne on PC when you can add the parrying mechanic to The Witcher 3."

One modder on NexusMods has taken it upon themselves to add this very mechanic to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Mugijang's' Bloodborne Gun Parry and Execution mod can be downloaded after adding a different firearm mod to the game, and allows you to parry both human and monsters. The timing is also just as specific as Bloodbornes: "A successful gun parry requires the bullet to hit on the target at the start of an attack, which is when the red light first appears on his health bar." Brutal.
