Length wise yes, width wise is technically yes but the cables are hitting hard against the glass lol. I'll have to buy cable mod cables or something instead of this jank.

That sucks. But you seem satisfied by the performance of the card.

Yea it's pretty nuts. I do have a 30 day return policy in case AMD comes up with something but other than that... It's a keeper

The raster performance isn't that surprising. AMD cames from the very bottom when it comes to RT, so it will take time and several iterations until they can catch up. That said, it would have been preferable to clearly outperform Ampere, not being roughy on par with it.

Also, if the chips are now on the hands of AIBs and the cards launch on November 3rd, that doesn't leave time to produce a lot of units... Oh, wait, that no one said that AMD would launch the cards on that day, only that they will announce/reveal them! Wccftech and others should start making that distinction in their articles.

I thought it was already said that the cards themselves launch in December.

There was a rumor saying that they would launch in December, but nothing confirmed.

Please excuse my bad English.

Man I need a new graphics card lol. May just get the PS5 version.

Imagine buying RDNA 2 and seeing this:

  • Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® 2080RTX or AMD Radeon™ 6800XT

Lol yeah, thats an oof seeing a high end GPU as recommended. Makes you wonder how well RNDA 2 based GPU's will run for future UE5 games. And seeing as SH2 looks to be current gen only with quite high PC requirements. Game looks darn fantastic mind..

I think it's less about UE5 and more about Ray Tracing although I don't think they said anything about it just yet. The Medium was not kind to Radeon cards, that's for sure.

AMD RDNA 3 “Navi 31” Rumors: Radeon RX 7000 Flagship With AIBs, 2x Faster Raster & Over 2x Ray Tracing Improvement

https://wccftech.com/amd-rdna-3-radeon-rx-7000-gpu-rumors-2x-raster-over-2x-rt-performance-amazing-tbp-aib-testing/

Take it with a grain of salt cause Greymon. 2x Faster in Raster would mean it's faster than 4090 in Raster but 2x faster in RT would mean a bit above 3090 in RT depending on the test.

It's more than twice for RT, but how much more is something we'll gonna see. I think it's gonna beat the 3090Ti in that department, though not by very much.

Another thing mentioned by Greymon is that TBP is apparently amazing, so probably the purported 7900XT (full Navi 31) will not consume much more than the 6900XT, if at all. I'm expecting a TBP of 300-350W here, which would be quite a bit less than the 4090.

So if that holds true and Rasterization performance is a bit lower but still within reach (as in, less than 10% slower), it would still be pretty competitive - especially if the pricing is lower. I hope that the 7900XT will come with the price of the 6950XT, which would undercut the 4090 by a whooping $500 and directly against the 4080, which it should beat rather easily in raster.

I wouldn't believe everything Greymon says as he's been wrong about a lot of things. I remember how much he was hyping up Zen 4 and we all know how that turned out.

Personally I think that TDP won't be any less than 400 watts. The reason is that AMD already announced 50% performance per watt but they are also more than doubling the core count while upping the clocks. I highly doubt they can keep similar TDP as the 6900XT without sacking a lot of performance.

I think Raster wise, 7900XT will actually be faster than a 4090 by 5-10% but I can certainly see the RT being slightly faster than 3090 Ti. I do have doubts for RT though considering what we have seen in the past but we will see. I can certainly see them undercutting Nvidia by $500 but personally, that won't matter for most people as we have seen the market share differences with 3090 vs 6900XT in the steam survey as well as other sources. Cause if you are gonna spend over $1000 for any GPU, most people would go for the one with the least amount of compromises which will be the 4090 with competitive Raster, significantly better RT, Ai upscaling, Reflex and a pretty sizable lead in workstation tasks. AMD needs to beat Nvidia in not only Raster but RT and needs a Reflex alternative to even be in consideration for most 4090 tier card buyers imo.
