Cant have a game that appeals to the male fantasy

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Most of the complains, at least the legit ones, about the new Saints Row is that the side quests are boring and, because you need to do them in order to unlock main story missions, that brings down the game and makes it a lot less fun than the previous ones.

That's a real shame, but maybe they'll be able to fix that with additional content.

Unfortunately all keys were sold out when I looked yeasterday and today. I'm on the waiting list, but I doubt that will help.

Well, I already played through Guardians and into Avengers on GamePass, but Steam keys would have been great to try these games on my Steam Deck.

Welp my road trip got cancelled cause one of my friends that was gonna help with driving got really sick. So I'll be posting the Ryzen 7000 launch.

That's too bad.

So, what to expect from tomorrow? Only CPU talk or do you think we may get to see a benchmark featuring an unreleased GPU to blow our minds?

Probably a tease for RDNA 3 of some kind. Maybe even some fps numbers without any context cause they know Nvidia will be announcing Lovelace in September. I am really hoping they tell us how long they plan to support AM5 and when they release the 7000X3D versions.

I doubt they'll give us an idea of how long they'll support AM5. They'll probably go with the usual "many years to come".

As for the 3D cache versions, I actually don' think they'll talk about them. So far they've only appeareed in rumors andin nothing else, unlike the other CPUs from which we've seen some leaked benchmarks or entries in some bases. AMD could use them as a mid-cycle refresh next year.

But we'll see how it goes.

Afaik, most mice with mechanical switches that you can get all have switches that are prone to failing prematurely these days. The only exception seems to be the new optical switches but usually those are very expensive and are only in some mice.

So for me, the way I go about it is that I pick the mice that I like first, then check for warranty. For example the last mouse I picked was the G502 Lightspeed which frequently goes on sale and comes with a 2 year warranty from Logitech who has great customer service. That costed around $145 when I bought it last year. If I were to get the Razer equivalent that has Optical switches, that would cost me around $300 or so.

So if you want absolute durability, I'd look for Optical switches. I wouldn't pay too much attention as far as the lifespan of the mouse because it's mainly marketing. You can check the reviews and forums and such and a lot of them with mechanical switches are failing as they start exhibiting the double click issue. With that being said, it doesn't happen with everyone and some people have been using mice with mechanical switches without issues for years.

I can attest to this. Have/had two G502 Hero's - wired. Both had double click issues after a year or just under usage. One on the secondary mouse click the other side button, really annoying. These Omicron switches they use on this model must be super cheap or just trash. No issue with my G403 however and I've had that for over well over 4 years and still functions perfectly and battery lasts surprisingly well for a device this old.

Have another G502 Hero on the way as it was super cheap from Amazon (£20) so will send the other back for RMA. Will be my MMO mouse lol.

The only issue I have with Razer is that I find their mouses don't last. At least from my experience though tbf I haven't used one in a while so its might be my bad luck. Also remember hating the software but tbh can't be any worse than Logitech G HUB

Also looking forward to Zen 4 launch. Should be interesting to finally see its actual performance.

Total War: Warhammer 3 player numbers went up tenfold after Immortal Empires released
https://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-3-player-numbers-went-up-tenfold-after-immortal-empires-released/
The Immortal Empires megacampaign for Total War: Warhammer 3 was long-awaited, thanks to the popularity of its predecessor, the Mortal Empires campaign for Total War: Warhammer 2, and to Warhammer 3's default Realm of Chaos campaign being a bit underwhelming on the second playthrough. Since Immortal Empires came out in beta, Warhammer 3's player count on Steam has shot up like a Doom Diver.
Warhammer 3's peak concurrent player count on Steam was 166,754 when it launched on February 17. That quickly dropped, and for the last three months it's been hovering between 8,000 and 12,000 players. With the beta release of Immortal Empires on August 23 it zoomed back up, hitting 119,166 that day. It's remained high since then, and today reached 103,952, putting it at #11 on Steam's list of top games by current player count just behind Rust.

New screenshots from the Path Tracing Mod for Return to Castle Wolfenstein
https://www.dsogaming.com/screenshot-news/new-screenshots-from-the-path-tracing-mod-for-return-to-castle-wolfenstein/
AMD’s Senior Graphics R&D Engineer, Dihara Wijetunga, has shared some new screenshots from the upcoming Path Tracing Mod for Return to Castle Wolfenstein.
As we can see, Wijetunga has tweaked the path tracer in order to keep the game’s original art style. This is in response to a lot of complaints that Wijetunga received. After all, the first screenshots of this mod were nowhere close to what the original game looked like.
As the title implies, this mod will implement full path tracing effects to Return to Castle Wolfenstein. As such, players can expect better global illumination, shadows, ambient occlusion and reflections. In other words, this mod will be similar to what we got with Serious Sam Pay Tracing and Doom Path Tracing.

Half-Life 2’s amazing mod, Entropy: Zero 2, is now available for download
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/half-life-2s-amazing-mod-entropy-zero-2-is-now-available-for-download/
Modder ‘Breadmen’ has released an amazing total conversion mod for Half-Life 2, called Entropy: Zero 2. In this mod, players will command a small army of Combine synths and soldiers on a Northern campaign to capture Dr. Judith Mossman.
Entropy: Zero 2 features a brand new campaign spanning seven chapters of content. Players can expect a narrative-driven experience with a fully-voiced and choreographed cast. And as said, yes, you can command squads of Combine soldiers.
Additionally, the mod overhauls the game’s combat, and introduces new effects, enemies and weapons. Not only that, but it overhauls the enemy AI, enemy willpower and enemy variants so that they can create exhilarating combat scenarios.
Lastly, players can experiment with Xen grenades. These grenades consume enemies and objects and spawn Xen lifeforms in return.

Take a look at this concept trailer for The Witcher 4 in Unreal Engine 5
https://www.dsogaming.com/videotrailer-news/take-a-look-at-this-concept-trailer-for-the-witcher-4-in-unreal-engine-5/
TeaserPlay has released a concept art trailer, showcasing what The Witcher 4 could look like in Unreal Engine 5. Since CD Projekt RED is actually using Unreal Engine 5 for its next The Witcher game, it will be interesting to see whether it will be able to surpass what is being showcased here.
As usual, TeaserPlay has recreated some environments from The Witcher 3. Moreover, they have used a 3D model that resembles the one for Geralt. Additionally, they have used some of Unreal Engine 5’s tech features, such as Lumen, Nanite, Ray Tracing and Metahuman.
The end result is quite cool, though I’m sure some will scream like crazy. But hey, take it for what it actually is… a fan concept art trailer and nothing more.
>> I don't use to post this kind of articles (just today there's another one about Silent Hill) but, since the next The Witcher will use UE5, I tought it would be interesting to see what it could look like.

New versions released for Freelancer HD Edition and TIE Fighter Total Conversion
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/new-versions-released-for-freelancer-hd-edition-and-tie-fighter-total-conversion/
Now here is something for all our space fans. The teams behind Freelancer HD Edition and TIE Fighter Total Conversion have released new versions of them that are available for download.
Freelancer: HD Edition is a mod that aims to improve every aspect of the game Freelancer while keeping the look and feel as close to vanilla as possible. It also serves as a customizable all-in-one package for players so they don’t have to worry about installing countless patches and mods to create the perfect HD and bug-free install.
On the other hand, TIE Fighter Total Conversion brings all the missions of the classic 1994 LucasArts game TIE Fighter, into the 1999 X-Wing Alliance (XWA) engine. This port includes the expansions Defender of the Empire and Enemies of the Empire, featuring a total of 76 campaign missions and the 28 original Training missions. Additionally, it packs a reimagined campaign of the first 8 Battles of TIE Fighter. Not only that, but it has full VR support.

The Legend of Zelda – A Link to the Past gets an unofficial native PC port
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-legend-of-zelda-a-link-to-the-past-gets-an-unofficial-native-pc-port/
The Legend of Zelda – A Link to the Past is the third Zelda game that came out in 1991 on SNES. This is a classic top-down action-adventure game that was exclusive to the Super Nintendo. And, surprisingly enough, there is now an unofficial PC version of it.
For those wondering, this is a reverse-engineered clone of the game. In other words, it’s similar to the PC ports of Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
This project features around 70-80kLOC of C/C++ code, and reimplements all parts of the original game. According to the dev team, the game is playable from start to end.
Since this project does not feature any pre-existing code, Nintendo won’t be able to shut it down. And, naturally, you’ll need a copy of the ROM to extract game resources (levels, images) and run it.

CSGO Kart is CSGO with go-karts
https://www.pcgamer.com/gsgo-kart-is-csgo-with-go-karts/
If you come up with a pun name that's good enough, you have to follow through and make it real. I can only assume this is how CSGO Kart came to be. It's a mod for Counter-Strike Global Offensive that lets you play capture the flag as go-karts. The work of Luke Millanta and Dieter Stassen, aka Two Random Dudes, Luke is at pains to point out the karts aren't unarmed. "Think Rocket League but in CSGO... and with actual Rockets", he says.
Luke sums up the mod like this: "Instead of playing as soldiers / humans you instead take the form of a rocket-firing go kart. From here each team battles it out to capture the other team's flag and return it to their base. Every time they do this, they score a point. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. Throughout the map there are speed boosters, ammo (rockets), teleporters, and health kits / boosters."
As well as rockets each player has a slam attack, activating by pressing the jump key while you're in the air. Slamming onto the other team's base is how you capture their flag, and then you slam again on your own base to score. It looks ridiculous, with neon edging and brightly colored bubble karts that remind me of the car Homer Simpson designed, but certainly no more ridiculous than many of the other CSGO mods we've seen.

https://www.pcgamer.com/clean-up-the-streets-and-grab-some-new-clients-as-saul-goodman-in-this-marvels-spider-man-mod/
In what represents the closest we've had to a Breaking Bad-related game on PC, everyone's favourite sleazy lawyer Saul Goodman has been modded into Marvel's Spider-Man: Remastered.
Created by a modder who goes by Arturvitormb, the mod lifts the Saul Goodman character model from the mobile game Breaking Bad: Criminal Elements, and plonks Jimmy McGill into Sony's acrobatic superhero sim, all for your entertainment.
