Honestly don't understand some of the Sony fans on this site. 12 down votes on the horizon Forbidding West Tech article for saying "Looks really good, since i dont own a PS5 i'll have to wait for the eventual PC release. Hopefully it wont be too far out since this is one of the games that was on the nvidia leak."
Honestly the articles are like an eco chamber. Its not like i said the game looks shit or anything like that, i said it looks really good and it does.

PC release is still probably a trigger word for them. I have seen many Sony fans still being in denial of the eventual future.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

The thing that seems to trigger some over on twitter the most by far is the "day and date" debate, because I said to you before that it is objectively the next and ultimate conclusion to this type of strategy, since MS and others like Sega have done this before over the years, it makes perfect sense for Sony to do what everyone else has done before.

Day and date is gonna happen and I don't care why the fanboys cite "yeah but not right now" as being somehow more important than when it actually happens (because it will and that will be the definitive end to that pointless debate).

Some Intel CPUs may no longer perform to their maximum straight out of the box
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/some-intel-cpus-may-no-longer-perform-to-their-maximum-straight-out-of-the-box/ar-AATQbDT
The company has remained tight-lipped about the SDSi initiative, whereby customers will pay an additional fee to activate certain features built into their processors. Although Intel has acknowledged the existence of the scheme, it has so far offered no specifics as to which capabilities can be toggled on or off and which CPUs will be compatible.

Indeed. I mean if i remember right didnt MS when they first started porting games on to PC say it would be games thats fit for the PC and then that changed to every first party game we make will be launching day and date on PC?, or am i remembering it wrong?. Sonys approach seems very much like MS at first so i see no reason for why they wont go day and date too with the rising price of game development for studios like Sony it would be silly to think they can just keep porting older games like some Sony fans seem to think. I mean even the head of Sony pretty much said they will be looking to port their games faster to PC, they brought i think 2 porting studios? but yet some Sony fans cant see the writing on the wall but i guess they will just keep denying it till it starts happening.

I mean it started off slow at first, this is MS we're talking about, their 2nd to 3rd attempt at getting back with PC meant we had to suffer slow ramp-ups of releases from them (that and they probably felt they were scared of what would happen to their consoles sales at those times).

Reason why I know it's going to eventually happen with Sony is because it just doesn't make any logical business sense to go with a new venture model for themselves, and then never improve upon it over time. It'd make more sense to tap into a market you've been actively ignoring for years, earn money and find ways to earn more of that money a lot earlier, what's one way of doing that?; day and date, you get the sales from both platforms at the same time, instead of 1-2m and slow trickle sales later on (the current model).

The only people that hate this are the die-hards, because they think they know business and another factor is the major loss of bragging rights, which let's be honest, there weren't much of any, because unlike a graphics card brute forcing (objective), a game is going to look subjective no matter how hard you try to sell it.

Oh boy, here we go, when hardware is turned into a service where we have to pay fees just to get the whole package to work...

If Intel's gonna do it, AMD and Nvidia are likely to as well, this can only get worse unless the hand is chopped off here and now. This crap shouldn't even be a thought in the first place.

The news, part two:

Capcom is counting down to a possible Street Fighter 6 announcement
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/capcom-is-counting-down-to-a-possible-street-fighter-6-announcement/
Because there's nothing gamers like better than an inscrutable countdown, Capcom has kicked one off that's set to run for a whole week. What's it leading to? Aside from the inevitable server crash, there's no clear sign at this point—but there is speculation.

Unofficial Magic: The Gathering NFT project interrupted as WotC summon lawyers
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/unofficial-magic-the-gathering-nft-project-interrupted-as-wotc-summon-lawyers/
Magic: The Gathering publisher Wizards of the Coast has dropped the cease-and-desist hammer on an NFT project called mtgDAO, which is seeking to create its own parallel MtG format using NFTs based on real-world Magic cards. Wizards of the Coast, naturally, says the project is a clear violation of its copyrights and trademarks, and also suggests that it might have an NFT-based Magic project of its own in the works.

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game studio says it doesn't want to 'make the same game twice'
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/the-texas-chain-saw-massacre-game-studio-says-it-doesnt-want-to-make-the-same-game-twice/
The makers of 2017's Friday The 13th game are taking another crack at the asymmetrical horror format with The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The new game will have a similar format to both Friday the 13th and its popular competitor Dead By Daylight, but developer Gun Interactive is making one big change: instead of a single killer hunting down a group of survivors, Texas Chain Saw Massacre will have three.

A new report on Roblox reveals how hackers and scammers are continuing to rip off kids
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/a-new-report-on-roblox-reveals-how-hackers-and-scammers-are-continuing-to-rip-off-kids/
In December 2021, the YouTube channel People Make Games shared new allegations claiming that the game and game-creation platform Roblox is unsafe for kids—its primary audience. For anyone not tuned into the Roblox scene, it was eye-opening: Literal children being swindled out of sometimes large amounts of money and work, a situation that Roblox appeared either unwilling or unable to address.
A new Vice report digs deeper into how it all happens: How "beamers," as they're called in the Roblox community, are able to hack into Roblox accounts, strip them of valuable items, and then sell them on black markets. Phishing is a big problem, obviously, as beamers use generators to automatically create legitimate-looking pages targeting specific users or items, commonly shared with Roblox users via Discord. But there are more sophisticated schemes in play too.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew has been suddenly delisted
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/star-trek-bridge-crew-has-been-suddenly-delisted/
Ubisoft's virtual reality take on Star Trek has been delisted on Steam and the Oculus Store. Star Trek: Bridge Crew is a cooperative VR game that tasks players with collaborating on the upkeep of the Enterprise. James had a lot of fun with it back in 2017, and while it was definitely built for VR headsets, a non-VR edition did eventually release.

OK I'll stop. If you're ever playing Lost Ark and come across something like the above in battle, however, it may just be a player being annoying: Or it may be that they're applying a damage buff that can reach quite extreme levels.
