I dont even bother modifying my list at all.

I love creating dynamic collections on Steam. I have one for every genre and for some store tags ("point&click", "dark humor", "retro", "choices matter", "cyberpunk", "detective", "stealth") and for my unplayed games.. and for some combinations of these options.

Within each (static or dynamic) collection I can set the sorting to game size, release date, MetaScore, playtime and other criteria.

For example all my installed Steam games sorted by size on HDDs/SSDs:

Or my 2021 games sorted by my playtime (I mostly played older games on Steam... most new titles I played on GamePass):

Or my action games sorted by MetaScore:

Or my point&click adventures sorted by release date:

Or my 2021 games sorted by Steam reviews:

Or my 2011 games sorted by achievement status:

So many valuable info with just a few clicks setting up a dynamic collection, you should try it:

P.S.: My static collections sorted by release years ("1980 - 1989", "1990 - 1994"... 2020, 2021, 2022) took a lot of more time, but I'm happy with the results. Remakes/remasters are added to the collection of the original release and to the collection of the new release).

You have a power beyond any living mortal with how you've managed to archive such an insanely massive library like that.

I've only sorted mine via genre and recently played, but I never thought you could go that extensive and still have them sorted so well.

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/amds-fidelityfx-super-resolution-is-getting-a-lot-of-support/
It took a lot of time for AMD to release its FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR). But now that it’s upscaling tech is well established in the hands of developers, AMD is taking the opportunity to proudly announce that there are now 71 supporting games either already released, or under development. AMD goes as far as to state that FSR has become “the fastest adopted software gaming tech in AMD history.

*snip*

That's mighty impressive... but also a necessity given how many games you have.

I tried to make a collection, once, but I got bored and deleted it. I don't need it.

While that might sound fine, the fact that it had to spin at 3100 RPM is pretty yikes.

I'd like to know how noisy that fan is, but over 300 RPMs and still 70ª on such CPU isn't nothing to be excited about.

Looks like AMD kept working on FSR and has come up with something new:

AMD Rumored to Introduce Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) Upscale Tech in Early 2022
https://www.techpowerup.com/290341/amd-rumored-to-introduce-radeon-super-resolution-rsr-upscale-tech-in-early-2022
The image upscaling wars keep grassing, with AMD and NVIDIA claiming as many integrations as possible for their respective FSR (FidelityFX Super Resolution) and DLSS (Deep-Learning Super Sampling) technologies in a bid to achieve maximum market share for their respective technologies. While the entire world was now focusing on Intel's own addition to the image upscaling wars with its XeSS (XE SuperSampling) tech, AMD is apparently looking to introduce a new upscaling tech as early as January 2022. Enter Radeon Super Resolution (RSR).

Right off the bat, do not expect RSR to be AMD's answer to the perceived image quality advantage of NVIDIA's deep-learning-powered DLSS compared to AMD's more open (and cross-hardware compatible) FSR. Instead, AMD seems to be targeting RSR as a game-agnostic upscaling solution that's based on FSR, but which can be enabled at the Radeon driver level for any game that supports exclusive full-screen rendering. AMD is seemingly moving its image upscaling technique further up in the graphics pipeline, which should impact upscaling quality (as there's less information for the image upscaler to work with). What this does enable, however, is an agnostic solution that can be deployed in any game - provided you're rocking one of the two rumored architectures that will support RSR (RDNA and RDNA2, in the form of AMD's RX-5000 and RX-6000 series). Considering the expected release of RSR, it's likely that AMD will have an official announcement around CES 2022, despite the fact that the company won't be physically present due to COVID-19 and logistics concerns.

So, worst quality (we'll see how much worse), but available to almost every game out there and without the developers having to do anything.

Meh FSR, NIS and now RSR are all sleep. The reason why people liked DLSS and really starting from DLSS 2.0 and up is because it genuinely looks close to native and sometimes even better. All these other ones don't, especially at low internal resolutions compared to DLSS.

Realistically, XeSS from Intel and the upcoming GSR from AMD will be the real interesting competitors to DLSS as they are all Ai upscaling. Of course, we need to see them get implemented first.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

So RSR is basically AMD's equivalent to NiS. Which in turn is equivalent to FSR xD Swings and roundabouts.

So epic moneypouch drying up or what these freebies aint really blockbusters

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

They probably had to pay a pretty penny for the FFVIIR exclusivity. As the port is shat, cracked on day one and there is a general distaste for EGS, I think they probably have to pay SE all the sales they aren't getting.
