I expected it to be more expensive. I guess the lack of HDR (or limited to 400) makes it more reasonable.

If you like it, go for it!

Pretty impressive results as the 11900k had AVX 512 to skew it's results. 5950x is around 1689 for ST.

Of course, Teraflops aren't directly comparable but it certainly sounds like it will be pretty powerful regardless... For the price of your first born child that is.

Good luck to them. While I am some what interested in a laptop like this... Until you can upgrade the CPU/GPU down the line, I don't have much reason to abandon my usual Gaming laptop or my Dell XPS as those can already upgrade the RAM/SSD/Wifi Module. And they generally don't break for 3-4 years of use which by that time, I'll replace them anyway. If they can make a laptop where down the line, you can upgrade just the GPU like you can with a PC, then I'll be interested.

Not available in my region yet, but I really like the concept. I just hope that by the time it's also available here, they'll also have some AMD version on offer - and a larger version. I need my numpad...

Far Cry 6 to feature ray tracing and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution support exclusively on PCs

https://videocardz.com/newz/far-cry-6-to-feature-ray-tracing-and-amd-fidelityfx-super-resolution-support-exclusively-on-pcs

Kind of weird seeing Ray Tracing being exclusive to PC but maybe Ubisoft's optimization is that poor.

Certainly very impressive. We will see what happens when it comes out but with the more recent benchmarks, Alder Lake S is looking to be a pretty good CPU.

Leaked Surface Pro 8 specs include Thunderbolt ports and a 120 Hz screen

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/09/leaked-surface-pro-8-specs-include-thunderbolt-ports-and-a-120hz-screen/

We will see if it's true or not but I would love for productivity devices to have a higher refresh screen. One of the big issues I have with my Dell XPS 17 is that it's stuck at 60hz. Sure it doesn't have the hardware to play games at 120fps or anywhere close but it still feels sluggish when compared to my phone and my ipad which both have 120hz screens. (And obviously my PC)

Their PC ports haven't been all that stellar in years, so maybe this is a sign that their PC version is going to be crippled even more with the RT (wouldn't surprise me).

Hi guys.

Yesterday my internet failed and I haven't got it fixed until a while ago, forbidding me from posting the news of both yesterday and today. Now that it's fixed, I hope I'll be able to post the news tomorrow as usual.

We're doing rotations at wortk between working form home and at the office, and this week I'm supposed to work from home. Well, that wasn't the case for half of yesterday and most of today.
