So Intel does what AMDon't?

We'll see if what they claim is true once it launches.

Please excuse my bad English.

Optimum Tech made a very interesting video that goes over retail prices in various markets of both Nvidia and AMD's lineup of GPUs

In every market, the 6600XT is cheaper than both a 3060 and 3060 Ti and typically close to MSRP. This excludes the AMD.com and Founders Edition cards you can get from Bestbuy. Personally, even at MSRP, thanks to the way AMD has gimped the 6600XT, I wouldn't recommend it.

In most other instances, it's the opposite. Nvidia is generally much cheaper/similarly priced than AMD cards for all other tiers of GPUs in most other markets.

Intel is claiming Skylake levels of performance with their small cores for Alder Lake S.

https://www.anandtech.com/show/16881/a-deep-dive-into-intels-alder-lake-microarchitectures/4

"Anyway, by these graphics it looks like that for peak single thread, we should see around +8% better than Skylake performance while consuming just over half the power – look for Cinebench R20 scores for one Gracemont thread around 478 then (Skylake 6700K scored 443). With +8% for single thread in mind, the +80% in MT comparing 4 cores of Gracemont to two fully loaded Skylake cores seems a little low – we’ve got double the physical cores with Gracemont compared to Skylake here. But there’s likely some additional performance regression with the cache structure on the new Atom core, which we’ll get to later on this page.

These claims are substantial. Intel hasn’t compared the new Atom core generation on generation, because it felt that having AVX2 support would put the new Atom at a significant advantage. But what Intel is saying with these graphs is that we should expect better-than Skylake performance at much less power"

Now we need to wait and see how it pans out as Intel has had some janky claims in the past. But if the claims are true and the big cores have a 19% uplift in IPC compared to rocket lake and the small cores perform similar to Skylake, that would be insane performance!

It's interesting how in Canada, there's also 6600 XT still in stock at certain retailers like newegg.

https://www.newegg.ca/msi-radeon-rx-6600-xt-rx-6600-xt-gaming-x-8g/p/N82E16814137681?Description=6600%20xt&cm_re=6600_xt-_-14-137-681-_-Product

Now while obviously overpriced, the other GPUs that are also overpriced have all sold out. So either AMD is making a ton of them or people ain't buying them.

From what I could read on other sites, AMD really made a ton of them. One of the online retailers interviewed in one of the news said that they got more of one single 6600XT model at launch than they got of the all the 3060, 3060Ti, 3070, 3080 and 3090 models combined at launch.

As a result, the markup is quite low making the card ironically good value now, as it's main competitor in it's price class right now is the 1660, which is getting trashed by the 6600XT.

This card and it's high supply could also be the reason why the prices of AMD GPUs didn't go down much over the last couple months, AMD concentrated it's production capacity obviously on the 6600XT to have enough supply at launch.

I noticed For the fans strolled right on up as soon as Onlyfans made that completely idiotic statement.

On the bright side, For the fans is entirely comprised of sex industry workers, so there's very little chance of those guys going mainstream and selling out, meaning Onlyfans just fucked up royally and pulled a Tumblr 2.0. Goodbye to that fat stack of cash.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

A Battlefield dataminer has uncovered details about Battlefield 2042's Hazard Zone mode, and it's looking a lot like Escape From Tarkov.
Well-known dataminer temporyal revealed a few basic details of the mode on Twitter. We've known about Hazard Zone's existence for a while, but not much else aside from the fact that it's one of three game modes that'll be available when Battlefield 2042 launches.

Call of Duty: Warzone will finally get a new anti-cheat system this year
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/cod-warzone-new-anti-cheat-coming-this-year/
Call of Duty: Warzone, one of the most popular and hackable videogames around, will finally get a new anti-cheat system later this year. Activision announced the news during a press briefing officially unveiling Call of Duty: Vanguard. The incoming system will presumably replace Activision's current internal anti-cheat solution for every current Call of Duty game.
>> It will also get a brand new map.

Good news, Call of Duty: Vanguard runs on the Warzone engine
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/cod-vanguard-warzone-engine/
Call of Duty is jumping engines yet again in 2021. Sledgehammer's Call of Duty: Vanguard, which takes the series back to World War 2, will run on the same engine that powers Call of Duty: Warzone.

Call of Duty: Vanguard will launch with way more maps than Black Ops – Cold War
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/cod-vanguard-maps-launch-cold-war/
One of the quickest ways to get burnt out on any multiplayer FPS is to get bored of the maps. That was one of the loudest complaints I heard when Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War launched last year with eight standard 6v6 maps. Almost a year later, I'd be happy to never play another round of Miami. Sledgehammer Games hopes map burnout won't be a problem for Call of Duty: Vanguard, which will come stocked with 20 maps at launch.

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies is being developed by Treyarch

For the first time ever outside the core Black Ops series, Treyarch's Zombies storyline will continue in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Treyarch is leading development on Vanguard Zombies and will tell a prologue story to the one started last year in Cold War.

11 Bit Studios calls out 'shitty scammer' selling Frostpunk 2 on Kinguin
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/11-bit-studios-calls-out-shitty-scammer-selling-frostpunk-2-on-kinguin/
Frostpunk 2 was announced a week ago with a grim teaser, a brief synopsis of the new setting—coal is out, oil is in—and no release date. 11 Bit Studios warned that the game is still "pretty early in development," and likely a long way off. That hasn't prevented online retailer Kinguin from offering "preorder Steam CD keys" for sale, leading to a very strong response from 11 Bit urging fans not to buy them.

This retro shooter turns Cthulhu into a comic book gore bath
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/forgive-me-father-trailer/
Doom-style retro shooters are getting to be a pretty common sight these days, so it takes a pretty unique approach to warrant attention. A retro shooter where you fight against the tentacled hordes of Cthulhu, all set in a 2D/3D comic book style reminiscent of XIII? And you can beat a mad scientist to death with a magical broom? Yes, that will do.

Deathloop PvP will be 'the ultimate test' for players
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/deathloop-pvp-will-be-the-ultimate-test-for-players/
In July, Bethesda released a nine-minute gameplay video showcasing one of Deathloop's singleplayer missions, to hunt down and kill Aleksis "The Wolf" Dorsey." During today's online QuakeCon stream, game director Dinga Bakaba, narrative designer Bennett Smith, and campaign designer Dana Nightingale went deeper into the game's multiplayer component, a killer-v-killer competition between Colt and Juliana that we haven't really had a close look at yet.

Destiny 2's Primary weapons are getting infinite ammo in the next season

The latest edition of This Week at Bungie dives into the studio's plans for Destiny 2's firearms in the next season, which will see the introduction of Legendary Stasis weapons and further changes to weapon archetypes. But the most interesting change is being made to Primary weapons, which—as some players have previously suspected—will have infinite ammo in the new season.

Google once considered teaming up with Tencent to take over Epic Games
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/google-once-considered-teaming-up-with-tencent-pry-epic-out-of-tim-sweeneys-hands/
When Epic publicly rejected Apple and Google's app store terms and hit the "sue them all" button in 2020, it seemed like the fight was just beginning. Apparently, however, the daggers had already been out for a while by then, and were sharp as can be. We learned today that a Google exec went so far as to suggest settling a disagreement with Epic by making a deal with Tencent to wrest control of the company away from founder and CEO Tim Sweeney.

Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is adding progression systems and more factions
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/warhammer-40000-battlesector-is-adding-progression-systems-and-more-factions/
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector was last month's addition to the pile of 40K games, a thoroughly decent turn-based tactics game about space marines of the Blood Angels chapter—plus a few allies from the Sister of Battle—taking on the bio-organic alien tyranids. In a new dev diary, Black Lab Games has outlined its immediate plans for Battlesector's future.

Genshin Impact fans aren't happy with its 'broken' new character
https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/genshin-impact-fans-arent-happy-with-its-broken-new-character/
Genshin Impact fans aren't too happy with the game's latest five-star character.
Peppy pyro archer Yoimiya has been live on Genshin's limited character banner for just over a week now. Fans were excited about her arrival—her design is fantastic and the only other fire-based archer is firmly at the bottom of most Genshin tier lists. But now she's here, complaints of broken mechanics are rife, and players are worried about it setting a precedent for future character releases.

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/hideo-kojima-loves-12-minutes-so-much-he-wants-to-make-a-new-adventure-game/
Hideo Kojima is loving 12 Minutes so much, it's making him want to create another adventure game.
If you've followed Kojima on Twitter for more than five minutes, you'll know he regularly shares his thoughts on any TV show or movie he's currently watching. It's rather nice getting to peek into the mind of a man who's come up with some crazy stories, but he doesn't often delve into his opinion on new games.

Yea pretty much. I do think that there is a lesson to be learnt here and that's the influence that payment processing companies have over companies. We have seen a number of times in the past where payment processing companies forced places like porn hub and what not to get rid of certain lewd content. It's one of the reasons why Valve doesn't allow all porn games into Steam without censoring certain ones.

I'd be curious to know whether or not there is a way to circumvent this. I know that with DLSite which is a hentai site in Japan, paypal pulled out and they needed to make their own payment platform which worked with Visa and such. So I'd be curious to see what one needs to do to circumvent payment processor and their restrictions.
