Thanks.

Unfortunately, I know myself. If I "rent" it, I know that I'll postpon the purchase over and over again. What can I say, I'm weak.

Well ya know sometimes that works too. i often feel i know when a game is worth paying for after you play it. If you play it and never want to pay for it then it wasnt worth it in the first place. But if you play it and feel the devs deserve the money then its worth paying for.

*Edit* if you need any help on you emulation journey hit me up on pm, not sure about the other pc guys and girls here but im defo the emu guy .

Will do, if I end doing it. Many things can change between now and October.

Please excuse my bad English.

Leaked Alder Lake S CPU cooler

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Well, now Noctua has launched its silent CPU cooler, so you have that for the processor side of it. It may not be as long as Yuri's one, but it sure seems bigger...

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

So some Youtubers have tested the leaked copy of Win 11 and there seems to be tangible boost in performance; including gaming :o

Here's a guy who did a comparison using a 5950X and 6800XT -

Not bad for an OS switch. Wonder if performance will scale more with more cores in general use.

I am getting Vista vs 7 vibes when comparing 10 vs 11.

While 10 was a huge improvement vs 8, it really did felt like a beta test. 11 will hopefully fix a lot of the issues and the buggyness of 10. Please MS, do something about all the windows store bugs. I want to like the Gamepass experience on PC but I also don't want to pray to the waifu gods that it doesn't error out every time I want to download a new windows store game.

What I personally want to hope for, is for 11 to be better tuned to all the tech MS has gawked on about for yrs, that would benefit their PC side in the long-run (like DX 12, performance modes etc). Like the last thing I want is another bloated OS, or an OS where the updates are forced for months, and half the updates actually fuck my perf back to the stone-age.

I swear they said something about mod support on their Xbox client. I would hope they actually reach that point and improve it with Windows 11. Like I've been wanting another good Steam-like client for years, and while Galaxy is okay, it's not a must-go-to kind of app for me (legit just use it for it's namesake, good old games, not brand new AAA games, because half the time they come with DRM and CDP don't like that, which limits their pickings and mine included).

Also I haven't heard them mention much about that HDR update for some time now or DX 12 ultimate (that's supposed to be like their form of PS5's secret SSD sauce lol).

Yea pretty much. You would think that MS of all people would get a Windows gaming client right but ironically, their attempts have been some of the worst.

And yea, Direct Storage is supposed to be an OS level revamp if I remember correctly as they needed to make significant changes to the core file system so Windows 11 might be what's needed for Direct Storage to work properly. Next week is gonna be interesting with FSR and Windows 11.
