I am getting Vista vs 7 vibes when comparing 10 vs 11.

While 10 was a huge improvement vs 8, it really did felt like a beta test. 11 will hopefully fix a lot of the issues and the buggyness of 10. Please MS, do something about all the windows store bugs. I want to like the Gamepass experience on PC but I also don't want to pray to the waifu gods that it doesn't error out every time I want to download a new windows store game.

I swear they said something about mod support on their Xbox client. I would hope they actually reach that point and improve it with Windows 11. Like I've been wanting another good Steam-like client for years, and while Galaxy is okay, it's not a must-go-to kind of app for me (legit just use it for it's namesake, good old games, not brand new AAA games, because half the time they come with DRM and CDP don't like that, which limits their pickings and mine included).

Also I haven't heard them mention much about that HDR update for some time now or DX 12 ultimate (that's supposed to be like their form of PS5's secret SSD sauce lol).

Yea pretty much. You would think that MS of all people would get a Windows gaming client right but ironically, their attempts have been some of the worst.

And yea, Direct Storage is supposed to be an OS level revamp if I remember correctly as they needed to make significant changes to the core file system so Windows 11 might be what's needed for Direct Storage to work properly. Next week is gonna be interesting with FSR and Windows 11.
