The one thing that's bothering me other than the cables is the fact that the hard drive's idle spinning speeds are louder than the fans...

I might just get rid of the Western Digital 4TB at this rate cause it's hella quiet without it. Like both the Noctua and Lian Li SL120 are emphasized for their quiet operation while giving out great performance.

Speaking of performance... On default clocks while running Cinebench multicore, the temps went up to 80-82C! Ryujin 2 can't come out fast enough.

So I did the controller overclock and there seems to be a difference. It does feel smoother in freeplay and should make a difference online. There are so many goals that do or don't happen due to 1ms in reaction difference

Idk what magical sauce Sony has with their wireless controllers but those are crazy numbers in comparison to wired controllers!

Of course, you can overclock the wired input polling rate but even then, the DS is nuts! Overclocked:

How in the world can those controllers be fast when used wireless than when wired? Is it because the USB add some latency or what?

Is it that pink in reality or it's a camera effect?

In any case, congrats for your build... but please, do something about those cables!

Yea the camera was being a bit weird.

And thanks! I'll do something eventually... When I get dem Strimmer Plus cables

That looks much, much better.

Crash 4, a single player platformer, being locked to Battle.net, a client known for having always online based games...

Why am I not surprised anymore?.

Not only are they releasing it later on PC, but they're also not telling us the info that's apparently "to come later" with the PC release, so why withhold what we all know is going to be the same info they're already telling console folk?

What makes matters worse, is that the game won't sport cheevos (for those that want them), cloud saves or mod support on Battlenet, and since that client doesn't sell the trilogy or CTR, it makes the client choice possibly e worst, besides EGS.

Like, besides EA coming back to Steam, are we just gonna go back to the same song and dance, where publishers act like colossal dicks towards PC again?, because it sure feels like it with exclusivity, delayed ports and locking games to undesired, barebones, shitty clients (For virtually no other reason than to gain 100% profit income, which is just plain greed).

I already see simps on twitter bitching at people for wanting choice in where to buy their games on PC, but ultimately, who gives a fuck about those kinds of people, who generally dislike letting people have choices in their lives, and support corporate bs.

Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

The video has a really good explanation of it. I'd recommend watching it.

But as a TLDW. There's two things that come into play.

Polling Rate which is how many times the computer asks for information. And Update Rate which is how many times the controller sends the information.

The Default Polling Rate for wired is 250 hz.
The Default Update Rate for PS controllers is 250 hz.
The Default Update Rate for Xbox controllers is 124 hz which causes an input issue every 65th button press by 4ms.

You can increase the Polling Rate of the Xbox controller to 1000hz but can't increase the Update rate of the Xbox Controller but you can make it so that the 4ms issue goes down to 1ms.
You can increase the Polling and Update rate of the Dual Shock 4 controller to 1000hz.
You can increase the Polling Rate of the DualSense to 8000hz but the Update Rate will stick to 1000hz.

Bluetooth however has a Default Polling rate of 1000hz. But with Xbox controllers, for some reason, it makes the games have a frame-rate spike unless you use their wireless adapter or play at 60fps or below.

The caveat with wireless is that it's not universal. While in testing, wireless looks crazy, a number of things can affect it that people may not have any control over where as with wired, you will have that consistent experience no matter. And it's very simple to adjust the Polling Rate.

Also, where the fuck is my Lunar new year event on Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard?.

It's been 2 FUCKING YEARS...Even Overwatch and WoW get more events than Heroes/Diablo/Starcraft at this point.

(Yes I want that LiLi Lunar skin)

Overall, I am liking the 5950x + 3080 Combo. I did OC the 3080 Strix and I enabled PBO + Curve Optimizer with a -15 to the 5950x so that it can boost to 5ghz.
