The motherboard is the only one that can't be tweaked. Everything else can, so if you have any suggestions...

Oh! My bad. I understood it the other way around (the downisde of not sleeping enough).

My only change would be regarding the RAM setup. Given what we know about Ryzen, a 4x 8GB set would work better than a 2x 16GB one, and 3200MHz CL16 is on the low end, tho perfectly capable. A 3600 CL16 kit would give you better results, but it's also expensive.

Really? 4 x 8 is better than 2 x 16? I mean, they're both 32GB, there shouldn't be a difference, right?

Haven't got an option for 3600 on the site I'm using though. It's either 3200 or 2666.

Yeah, it's a mystery why this happens, but it's a real thing that a few sites have looked into and shown results.

Last week, Gamers Nexus made a video about it that Cyran posted here, and using the 5600X of your build:

Given that you can't pick a faster kit, a shame, the 3200MHz one is your best bet.

If ( Vram > 10GB)

  {

       Increase FPS

                       }

Else

  {

     Gimp FPS

                          }

But seriously, idk why else the 3090 would have such a huge lead... And why a 3080 is competing against a 2080 Ti...

1080ti at 1080p and it's under 60fps...

What in the actual... Oh wait it's Gearbox, now it all makes sense now!.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

So we got a winner for most inefficient use of VRAM in a game ever created. I don't even know how it possible they manage to make a game at 1080p be VRAM limited on a 10GB card.

That's the weird thing though. It's not actually Vram limited...

Even at 4k, it's using less than 10GB of Vram. I think this is an artificial performance gimp from Gearbox as they gotta make AMD gpus look better with 16GB of vram since it's an AMD sponsored title. Otherwise it doesn't make sense because the 3090 is very similar to a 3080 with the main difference being the Vram capacity. There will be some games that showcases the 3090s lead sure but not by this amount.

I truthfully not sure I believe those are usage numbers and not allocated numbers.  Maybe they doing something like allocate X percentage of VRAM and then that the only VRAM they give the game access to while playing.

I would love to see the VRAM usage for the 3080.  If it something like 3500MB that would let us know that it doing something like that.

Even at 1080p, Godawful.

I don't recall any recent situation where AMD played dirty like that, and I don't think they asked Gearbox to do it. And if Gearbox has decided to do it by themselves they are more stupid than I thought as it can only harms their sales.

Plus the article doesn't mention foulplay except for a file that has the amd name and relates to shadows, which they fear it could be the ray tracing patch that will come later. What the article says is that the title is poorly optimised on both Navi and Ampere.

Maybe a new driver from Nvidia can fix some of that strange behavior.

Reviews for GOdfall ain't looking so hot either. Most saying it's trying to be Souls, but fails at it. I feel like I dodged a bullet with it going EGS exclusive.
