Remember when we laughed like that about AMD GPUs? And now we're seeing how potent a CPU/GPU combination from the same vendor can be.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I just lol'd at the timing of the announcement. Nvidia and AMD with their big guns and we have intel with a mobile chip :P

Difference with Intel is that... If things aren't 60% profitable very quickly, they give it the flick.

But yeah its a start. Hopefully Intel can bring the heat with fully fledged higher end Xe (DG2) discrete cards next year. If they can come up with a card on par with a 3060Ti at a good price that would be a great entry.

My biggest concern about Intel's GPUs isn't the hardware, they have the resources and manpower to make competitive GPUs, but the drivers... now that's something different.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Rumors point that Intel's flagship would be on par with a 3070. We'll see if that's the case, and how much it will cost.

First thinking: Not too shabby for an iGPU...

Finds out it's actually a graphics card: lolwut?

.

..

...

To be fair, the GPU is the same size as the iGPU with just 96 EUs, just clocked about 40% faster at 1650 Mhz, so it couldn't be much faster. If they just could get the iGPU up to that speed...

Keep in mind that the MX 450 is about as powerful as the older 1050Ti (though based on a cut-down GTX 1650 and much more limited in bandwidth and only 2GB VRAM; the MX 350 meanwhile was mostly just a rebrand of the old 1050). It would also allow Intel to seriously compete with AMD in that domain.

Yeah my interest is piqued. I mean If I can't get a hold of a new GPU this year, this might be worth looking into.

Granted the drivers aren't broken and they have good RT and some form of upscaling technology is at least on par with others.
