We have no idea about Tegra 4's perf/watt ratio. Is it not fair to assume it's as broken as the last three?

We have some idea as it's been debuted in nVidia's shield. :)

Which has a large battery and active cooling. Not realistic conditions for the products Nvidia actually wants it in.

If it was only performance that mattered I'm sure you could put a desktop CPU in there.

I did say some idea, thus not a definitive one.
Shield is also aggressively clocked, so one would assume that lower clocked variations of the chip would be better from a performance/watt ratio.

Besides, nVidia has once again licensed a complete ARM (This time the Cortex A15) core, it's not a derivative of the architecture that other ARM licensees might do, so whatever Pro's and Con's the A15 has, the Tegra 4 will have.
We won't see nVidia do it's own take on the ARM cores untill Project Denver arrives which is when we *should* see some big gains in every area.

Steam hero to spearhead Windows gaming push

Valve veteran Jason Holtman, once the industry’s first point of contact for Steam, has joined Microsoft with the intent to turn Windows into “a great platform for gaming and interactive entertainment”.

Holtman confirmed his new role with GamesIndustry.

“I have joined Microsoft where I will be focusing on making Windows a great platform for gaming and interactive entertainment,” he said.

“I think there is a lot of opportunity for Microsoft to deliver the games and entertainment customers want and to work with developers to make that happen, so I’m excited to be here.”

A former lawyer, Holtman served with Valve for eight years. Although not as publicly recognisable as Gabe Newell and Doug Lombardi, he was the primary point of contact for companies in getting on board Steam, and championed the service tirelessly. He was largely responsible for signing major third-part publishers to the then-untested digital distribution platform.

Holtman’s February departure therefore caused quite a stir, even in the midst of several other high-profile departures in something of a mini-exodus.

Holtman’s move to Microsoft has raised eyebrows among commenters as it suggests Microsoft has decided to take PC gaming seriously – something that has seemed more and more unlikely as the platform holder has neglected the space leading up to the Xbox One’s launch later this year. With Holtman on side, Microsoft would stand a greater chance of enticing games publishers and developers to utilise a Microsoft-backed digital distribution service, whether it’s an improved Games for Windows Live or something entirely new.

interesting move, I wonder if it's time for another missguided MS PC gaming push

This game on greenlight looks super rad

"Krautscape is an action-packed multi-player racing game with bird-like flying cars. The leading player is actively building the racetrack while the chasing players can take shortcuts by flying off the track to overcome obstacles. But the track is needed to score and to get speed – the vehicles don't have any thrusters to accelerate while flying. The three gamemodes are designed to support nonlinear gameplay and intelligent movement instead of forcing you to drive perfectly. Krautscape is currently in development for Mac, PC and Linux."

Bird like flying cars. Very cool.

*Shakes head* @Nvidia/Rockstar thing. Too much news feed these days is just announcements of announcements or denial of announcements.

Blizzard’s unified desktop app is now in open beta. No longer must you launch each Blizzard game separately like a peasant. Instead you may adopt the royal we and start any of Blizzard’s games from a single launcher.

It’s still technically in beta but you can install it today.

The main plus of the launcher is that you can sign into that once and it will log you into World of Warcraft, Diablo 3, and Starcraft 2 without you needing to re-enter your details when those games launch. The app is also set up to integrate Hearthstone when that launches.

Other pluses of the software are that it will download updates for all your Blizzard games while it’s running in the background.

You won’t need to redownload the app when the beta ends. Wizards will update it into the full official version.

Get the app from here.

Oh god, no, not yet another client. I would have preffered if Blizzard just shoved their games on Steam so it's one less account that I need to remember!

Yea I would probably rebuy some of the back catalog if they put it on Steam lol. But Blizzard seem pretty commited to doing their own thing.

I doubt it because Blizzard is fairly autonymous and does their own thing. I doubt they would want Activisions shitty licenced games cluttering their store.

For now anyway.
Activision Blizzard has become independant and Bobby Kotick is now the supreme ruler of the company, thus he may make changes in the companies structure.
He ultimatly has the keys to every aspect of Blizzard now, what that means in the long-term however remains to be seen.

I suggest you read this for an eye-opener. :)
