Who cares what console Newell prefers when Valve won't launch a single game for neither of them?

Also, to me, that a picture at native resolution with AA looks worse than an upscaled one tells me more about how shitty the AA is rather than how good is the upscaling.

They might launch half life Alyx on ps5 ironically if the PSVR2's tracking and etc gets improved.

And yea, pretty much but hey, on those types of situations, DLSS might be the better way to go.

True, we won't see anything from them.

TAA still sucks. At 4K you're better off turning it off or using MSAA. DLSS is still a gamechanger though. We just need to see more games with it as benefits are huge.

I won't hold my breath waiting for Alyx on PS5 or any other console.

And why don't we try to run the games with proper AA? Back in the day it was so "expensive" (performance wise) to use it that they all tried to come up wiith other solutions to get good enough results like SSAA, MSAA, FXAA, etc., but, given that even today's low-end cards like the 1060/5500 can actually run most games at 1440p and that resolutions have gone up in larger sized monitors, why don't we give it a go?

I don't know maybe Nvidia could put those Tensor Cores to some us with it.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Cause devs make weird decisions

Apparently it's news day so some more things.

That's quite fast actually. I guess they are preparing to combat the Super series. Poor Intel jeez!

I'm surprised you haven't posted the news of Intel "reorganizing" it's hardware business: https://www.anandtech.com/show/15932/intel-reorganizes-in-wake-of-7nm-woes-chief-engineering-officer-murthy-renduchintala-to-depart

In short: they've fired the guy in charge because of the 7nm delay fiasco.

Also, and I've said it before, what worries me more about Intel's GPUs is not the hardware itself but the drivers. If AMD and Nvidia have troubles after years of experience, how will Intel manage?

PSO on Steam is pretty big. Will have to give that a go :D

Intel restructuring doesn't surprise me, they keep struggling with their own foundries while others have leapfrogged then over and over. Having a fresh person at the helm might help. TSMC will help them while they are shorting their shit out.

I did actually :P

And yea idk how they are gonna handle drivers, specially with their tactics. I haven't updated the Intel GPU driver on my laptop since I got it. Windows may have updated automatically though.

Oops! My bad.

PCGamer has articels every now and then about a new Intel driver, but so far I haven't bothered to post them. Might have to do it once they launch their cards.

I really wish MGSV had DLSS support, because it's built in FXAA is horrible.

I do find it amusing how some folk think PC's are going to become outdated and a thing of the past, yet DLSS 20 and beyond is proving the complete opposite. PC's are gaining and advantage right before the eyes.

Also, I don't really see why Gabe has to care to put HL on consoles. The guy can offer his viewpoint, without having to put a game on either system. Ubisoft talks shit about how much they love PC gaming, yet their ports are always "future proofed" garbage, with minimal differences, so their opinions are practically moot.

I do find the "you've got something to gain, Gabe" comments though, as if ppl ignore the fact that Sony is in bed with Epic, and how it's fair for Timmy ratboy to fawn over the PS5, but not okay when Gabe just says "Xbox, because I can". Some hypocrisy at best.
