Best wait for AiB for sure if you're going out of the box cooling. Reference designs gonna be hot and loud.

But yeah things gonna get toasty. Getting a PCI bracket for mounting 2x 120mm fans; blowing up (on GPU), for these new cards xD

Unless you are getting their top tier wallet killing cards, I don't think the PSU should be much of a concern. If you are though... #750WattMasterRace

If you get a 3080Ti/3090 plus an i9 10900K, you better get something beefier than a 750W PSU.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

That's true but least for me, I should be good with my 3900X

I have quite fancied getting myself a water cooled GPU (closed loop model), since one of the sodding bearings on one of my 1080ti fans has gone and I've since had to readjust the fan speed, so it doesn't annoy the hell out of me.

I am personally off of my liquid cooling fetish ever since mine leaked and killed my motherboard, GPU and RAM. After that, I was like, Air Cooling it is cause the worst that can happen is that the fan dies.

What bugs me is one of my bearings is gone, which causes one fan to sound hella annoying, to a point where I've had to temper the voltage of my GPU and fan curve, just to prevent both increase in temps and the bad fan whirring in an annoying tone. The only reason I want to try a closed loop GPU casing, is because I'd be more trusting of the block fans, than GPU case fans, which either sound too loud for my tastes (at say 60c-70 they really do annoy me, and AAA games at 120-144fps at near ultra settings will rise to those levels) or a bearing could go.

Mine came from Aorus, but I cba finding another custom fan case for it, unscrewing everything, putting new paste in and putting the new case on it, just to sort a fan out.

For water cooling to become popular a lot has to happen, including CPU and GPU getting even more power hungry. 300-400W are still fine to cool with chunky air coolers.

They did so before already with the TUF Gaming A15:

ASUS even claims that they are wrong with their assessment, claiming the final design had the "best overall thermal performance".

Also a way to keep the cheaper AMD laptops from stealing the thunder of their own Intel laptops...

Urghh these companies... They are already gimping AMD CPUs by shipping them with mid-tier GPUs but also this nonsense? Smh

Probably weren't expecting AMD to beat Intel's mobile chips, let alone so substantially. But that's biting their asses hard right now.

It's also not just ASUS. Just look what Dell did with their all-AMD laptop:

Just look at the Dell gray casing and build quality and ask yourself what year is it?
