Dota 2's summer event kicked off this week, letting players take a break from the MOBA to instead play a co-op roguelike, Aghanim’s Labyrinth, with three buds. It's available to everyone, battle pass or no, for free.
The spider-squashing, house-demolishing game Kill It With Fire is coming in August
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-spider-squashing-house-demolishing-game-kill-it-with-fire-is-coming-in-august/
Kill It With Fire is a bonkers first-person game about arachnophobia and proportional response. I took a look at a demo for the game back in April and enjoyed it a lot: It's dumb—really dumb—but demolishing a house to kill a few bugs (who were just minding their own business) is a lot of fun, and kind of cathartic, too.
Necrobarista, the 3D visual novel about ghosts, coffee, and Australia, comes out next week
https://www.pcgamer.com/necrobarista-the-3d-visual-novel-about-ghosts-coffee-and-australia-comes-out-next-week/
We got our first look at Necrobarista, a 3D visual novel about serving coffee, meeting ghosts, and playing with knives, all the way back in 2017. A couple of years later a release date was set, although shortly after that it was delayed "slightly" so developer Route 59 Games could do a little more work on it. The process ended up taking a lot longer than expected, but the studio announced today that Necrobarista will arrive on July 22.

https://www.pcgamer.com/our-favorite-skateboarding-sim-session-is-getting-a-physics-overhaul/
In a Steam update posted today, the makers of skateboarding sim Session said that they're currently "neck high in some major physics work" that'll slow the update pace down for the moment.
Microsoft Flight Simulator is getting a 10 disc physical version
https://www.pcgamer.com/microsoft-flight-simulator-is-getting-a-10-disc-physical-version/
The first Microsoft Flight Simulator came on a single 360kb 5.25 inch floppy disc. Back then you had to run the program directly from the disc, as it wasn't designed to be installed on a rare-at-the-time hard drive.
That was back in 1982: fast forward 38 years, and the forthcoming 2020 version of Microsoft Flight Simulator comes on a whopping ten DVDs, amounting to 85GB, meaning the original Flight Sim could fit on those discs at least 236,000 times. Maths!
>> A physical edition for PC in 2020! It's like a shooting star. Quick, make a wish!

Despite being more than halfway through the year, the next instalment in the ceaseless Call of Duty series is still a complete mystery. Activision hasn't been giving anything away, and so far all we've had to go on are leaks and rumours. But now it might have appeared on the Microsoft Store.

Following last month's meaty gameplay stream, Larian Studios has shed a bit more light on how Baldur's Gate 3's many systems work, some of which have been changed since we first got a look way back in February.
No Man's Sky takes a terrifying new turn in its Desolation update
https://www.pcgamer.com/no-mans-sky-takes-a-terrifying-new-turn-in-its-desolation-update/
No Man's Sky has always been known for its intergalactic exploration, letting players discover new worlds at the far reaches of the galaxy. But the space survival sim has taken a bit of a turn with its new Desolation update, leaving the joys of planet-hopping behind for the terrors of being alone in the unknown. It's a whole new atmosphere for No Man's Sky, which you can see in the trailer above—it's giving me major GTFO and Alien: Isolation vibes.

Hot-shot space jockeys will have eight starfighters at their fingertips when Star Wars: Squadrons goes live in October: Four Imperial and four Rebel, each one belonging to a different class. That in itself isn't news, but today EA shared more about what each class can do, how pilots can get the most out of their machines, and how it's going about recreating futuristic technology from a long time ago.
