Great development, i love Google. Wonder if it's going to be a contender to the PS4 or OUYA?

It'll be the end for Ouya at least.

That was probably an MS employee off work and checking out the store. Then he got cornered and caught offgaurd by rabid fanboys. Felt bad for the guy, he was a nice and down to earth guy. Reminded me of someone being at the wrong place during the LA riots.
Someone who works for Microsoft isn't allowed to go to a store to check out an event he might be interested in? He might even be a Nintendo fan *gasp* shocking, isn't it?

seriously, he didn't talk like a Nintendo Fan. He talked about Xbox 1 all the time. If he would be a fan he would have just said "hey guys, let me alone, I#m here to play" etc.

They wanted to shut out Google and Apple before they even showed up. Now with their original policies compromised, due to "the gamers" will they still be strong enough? This will be an interesting battle. I don't think MS really feared Sony and Nintendo. They weren't looking to eliminate them from gaming. Their true fear is Google and Apple. Google is like the Borg. |
You're joking right? Xbone was dead in the water. MS new it, they knew they were watching the death of their console ambitions. How strong were they going to be with those policies in tact when Goolge (and maybe apple) came along? They would have been irrelevant. At least now with XB One they will still be a relevant, though somewhat weakened compared to 360's position, when Golge and Apple get into the game.

Hypocrisy defines the VGC forum and fans in general. |
nope, it defines humans - every human (or at least 99.9999%) is a hypocrite, luckily a lot just are over trivial things like video games
The problem I see with these consoles (this one and Ouya), is that they seem to go after the audience that plays mobile games... and the vast majority those people pick the free version of the games or buys the cheap ones. And that's almost like the opposite model we have on consoles where games cost 50/60 €.
Will developers and publishers support those consoles launching the same games that the X1/PS4 will get? Will the users of mobile games support those consoles if the games cost the same as they will do on the X1/PS4?
I think that no, they won't. The mobile users that already play on consoles will keep playing on consoles for "real" games while using they phone to play those other games while those who don't have a console won't accept paying what the console games cost, making them a non-viable platform.
It will become a secondary (or even less) console.
Please excuse my bad English.

Get what you want from the situation. If you were bombarded with hatred out of the blue, you would defend yourself too. How do you know that people werent asking questions about the Xbox before the video even started? You only see what people want you to see.
This is really off topic. I didn't come in this thread to discuss that video. It was his fault for being there with an MS shirt after the whole E3 blowout. Maybe he didn't think E3 was bad. He probably was all for the DRM. That's the thing, you can't predict how people will react to things.
So how do you feel about Google making a console?

Could be interesting, we will see how it works out, we still have to see what Valve is doing.
Kinda scared to what it can lead if it gets really successful. But like i said. It will be an Anroid based console and we are hearin more and more about android based consoles so it won't be special. It isn't as easy anymore to enter the console war cause competition aren't "only" the 3 Big Ones. People play Android games cause they are cheap and easy to play on you phone not cause it is pure quality. Casuals who are playing smarth phone games won't buy a android based consoles cause they aren't interested in gaming.
Imagine a video game console where all games are either free or very cheap at the cost of advertisements appearing in each loading screen (or a new "advertisement screen" if loading times are reduced).
Give that console proper third party support and you have got yourself a deal.
