Casuals wont be interested in anything Sony or MS would be offering in that respect until like..possibly three to four years into its lifecycle until the price drops to about $299 or $349 bundled. The games better be worth it as well for the sake of the casuals. These devices are starting to become overkill and Microsoft bundled the Kinect because they know it wont sell on its own. If this article is correct, then its crazy how Sony and MS would invest in the damned fate of peripherals. I never wanted any of these so Sony not forcing it on me is a good thing. I just want to play games even though I do dance and enjoyed Dance Central when I had my Xbox that was the only game I enjoyed on my Kinect. Everything else was not even on par with the ideal. |
Good point. I just don't see that many casuals picking up the Xbox One for the Kinect even when it becomes cheaper in 3 years. MS needed a new gimmick to sell the Xbox One to casuals. Perhaps that illumiroom thing can attract customers.
