Maybe. But they let MS have the upper hand, that is just stupid. MS have been selling Xbox360 at retailers around the country for years, and Sony.br insists in being a "upper class brand", which is just stupid, they should embrace the people and sell the damn thing to whoever wants to buy it.

They dropped a little bit on refrigerators and stoves, also a little bit in cars, around 3% less than it used to be.

But, overall, IT IS TAX PAYER HELL in here. We have 500U$D PS3s and stuff. Games are cheaper now, I have paid 70U$D for The Last of Us and old games drop the price (it is a brand new thing here the discounted old game). I have paid 25U$D for Fifa12 three weeks ago.

Man. In 2013 PS4 will be avaliable ONLY in US and Europe!! Brasil is for 2014.

I know all of that because I'm brazilian.

The number of people who can afford PS4one at launch here is very small.  Sony wouldn't be wrong to prioritize other markets over Brazil if that means more consoles for countries where people have means to buy it.

I could buy the console at launch even at this ridiculous US$ 995 price(Xbone).  But I won't do so because  78% of taxes on imported goods is a steal.

Not true, if it was, more shame on SONY.BR, since the Xbox One is at stores in November here in Brazil. That is just plain stupid man, let me buy the damn thing, Jesus Christ. 

You have any additional information to prove what you are talking about?

Sony is in the process of opening manufacturing in Brazil. Once that is complete, the PS4 should be significantly cheaper than the imported XBone. Additionally, Playstation is a far bigger brand there, so I don't think Sony is worried about Xbone getting a lead ON PREORDERS. Sony will be there well before launch and any preorders will change.

With that kind of price you might as well take a weekend vacation and buy a ps4 on the way back home. Am sure the customs would allow a $400 product.
