Forums - General - Not builtlean: Woman Drinks only soda for half her life- Jaywood was right

I stopped drinking soda two months ago (forced rest of family a few weeks after I did). Kids are a little bitter, but they'll get over it.

I still need to work out regularly. But my eating habits have dramatically changed over the last few months.

baby steps.

good for you!

soda really is the worst of the junk foods imo.   not that i don't ever have it or anything but i try my best to avoid it.  unsweeted lemonade is actually like the best thing ever.

I have cutie syndrome too

Soda is delicious and makes your soul happy. Not saying people should drink 2 liters a day, but in moderation, it's fine.

At one time  I was doing one can or 20 ounce a day. But now it is out of control again I think. Maybe two bottles a day. So 40 ounces total. I will have to find alternatives again.

That's probably too much.  I used to drink soda... I dunno.  Probably 4-5 days a week about 20 ounces.   That was mostly cause I was eating at a lot of fast food places.  Now like once, maybe twice, a week for the last three months that I've been trying to lose weight.  Drink water and tea mainly.  Not really cause I have anything against soda, but when I only have so many calories a day to consume, I don't like wasting them on non-filling liquids.

Pop was really easy to give up for me. I decided randomly in high school to stop drinking pop and I've rarely touched it since, mostly just to mix with alcohol. I really think if people at least tried to give it up that it wouldn't be too difficult for them either.

I tried to change it up and have diet soda. But that still has a lot of bad ingredients in it as well.

I've never really liked diet soda in general, so not really an option for me.

I just always have water next to me. When it empties I fill it back up again. No need to ever feel like you're "drinking water", it just happens.
