When you get a wheel, download the Ghost Lap for whoever is ranked highest in the world and try to follow their line. It will show you where you can make up more time.

Just had a rather infuriating 40 minutes or so with the demo (mostly thanks to me being unable to use my wheel, as it's late at night and people below me are sleeping, and I know I could do so much better than on Duelshock) I have to say I'm in love with GT again the lighting is godly and Autumn Ring is awesome looking now (crowds need to be put in tho) and they've done a really good job with Silverstone. Didn't really pay attention to Grand Valley, couldn't care less for the east course.

Predictably stomped the Ai in the little mini career mode, and then onto the juicy stuff with GT academy I only did the first 4 as it's late, gonna leave the whole lap until tomorrow, for each one I decided to do a slow lap for each just to get a ghost (very useful when playing with lines as it helps figure out what the really quick lines are) and then started pushing more and more for gold, the first one was kinda infuriating as I haven't played Silverstone on a racing game since the modification, whilst also having to adapt to using a controller and the new physics made for some infuriating attempts (especially when i got to within a tenth of gold) and found the two sharper bends very slippery on the controller, coupled with the still shit invalid lap system where I still had at least a tyre within the lines (most motorsport doesn't dq quali laps if only 3 tyres go of the track) so took us some 20-30 attempts to get gold, at least half being dq'ed. 2 and 3 were easy got gold within 5-10 attempts on both, but struggled massively with 4, in particular Club corner and oversteering out of it. So first gold times were as follows:

1. 34:995 rnkd 6002
2. 43:304 rnkd 14609
3. 26:485 rnkd 11576
4. 35:686 rnkd 12778

Could probably knock .2/.3 of them with more practice, and 1 second at least with a wheel of each of them, can't wait to try the whole lap tomorrow.
