Maybe it's because Nintendo gamers are real gamers and don't just play sports games and fps ;)

They'll be back in 2014.
They skipped 2013 so they could push people to XB1 and PS4 as they hoped those consoles would be heavily DRM'd.
But by 2014 they will have contractual agreements that force all the typical games back. Of course, that doesn't mean they won't be gimped. EA is very good at gimping its Nintendo games.
Madden 13 for the Wii u only came out in North America, even EA was gimping the areas you could buy the game.

Haven't bought a FIFA game since 2009 and don't feel need to buy any of the more recent games. |
What? You aren't going to rebuy a minor update annually?
You sound casual.

Only the casuals buy FIFA every year.

We just hate EA

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

I hope you understand my post was completely tongue-in-cheek.

I understood. My coment reflects my thoughts.
I've bought my fair share of games that didn't turn out to be that great, but Madden 13 for the Wii U is one of the few I really, really regret getting. I feel like someone at EA is laughing at me for buying the game. It doesn't look good for me picking up another EA game anytime soon (unless they come to their senses and release a good NHL game on the Wii U)
