Why?

Its no surprise to anyone here that I am over the bloody moon about this news. I wanted the whole 24 hr checkin, the family sharing etc. The fact that I as a consumer can still have this a my choice is the best news Ive heard since I saw the exclusives Microsoft are putting out. 

 

Im so happy today that the consumer can choose whatever they want.

I should thank Sony really. They actually made the Xbox One the best propostion because they poked fun at the DRM thing at E3. Sony only have themselves to blame now. 

I wont even consider PS4 unless they cater for Digital the way Microsoft has

Thank goodness!
I knew they would make this an option which I will CHOOSE freely. I am not the one with slave mentality to a big company for I have choices. On the other hand, others are stuck with same ole thing.
I think it's a great move by Microsoft.

Im gonna move on. Because as its a dominant Sony site I would only expect great news for the industry and Microsoft will get twisted here somehow.

Wait. So all they said was nothing? They still believe in digital? Well duh. This doesn't mean they will have the 24 check in anymore. It also says nothing about family share.

Basically they added nothing to what was already known with those answers. Come on MS. This is what turned everything into a shit storm to begin with. Give clear answers rather than spouting thing crap.

They clearly state that you can opt in for the previous feature set if you want to. sigh.

Someone asked if you can do that. The answer to is was a bit of misdirection. They just said they added the choice of gamers. Which to most would mean no DRM.

I was gutted that the cloud processing and family sharing etc looked gone. But alas Microsoft hasnt let me down. Now I can play games with people who want the full digital experience and the used game market experience. People who were gonna go PS4 at work have all now said they are preordering Xbox One because of the games and the used games coming back. 

 

With all the DRM fiasco PS4 only had 30,000 more preorders in US for example. Now the turn around Xbox One will destroy PS4 preorders in US. And likely in UK where I live to. Price doesnt seem to be an issue. As the media has gone very pro Microsoft at the moment. Choice is everything. Xbox One gamers have the option of choice Digital or Physical. 10 people Family sharing still existing is amazing. And Microsoft confirmed last week that its not a demo. NOT. 

 

Can't wait for Xbox One. Its gonna be HHHHUUUUGGGGEEEEE.

Yes we can understand that your biased to a certain company and can't see how this catters to every type of player.
