People bitch and moan about console sales because they love the drama. Now that the internet has given them the means to numerate their desires, they bitch and moan even more.

Get over it. If you really care to bitch about it on a forum, you obviously care enough about it yourself. So grab some popcorn and STFU.

I remember a fair amount of acrimony far earlier. The 16-bit era was a period of intense conflict. Sega and Nintendo didn't pull punches.

The lack of an internet prevented a larger discussion from fans, aside from say everyone in your school yard.

Sega Nintendo era was a hell of a lot worse then what it is today and back then Internet wasn´t a factor.

Aye, this gen is no different than any other since the SNES/Genesis era. There was genuine hostility back then by a lot of people. Same with the N64/PS era and Cube/X-Box/PS2 era. It's been going on a long time, and will continue as long as there is more than one console manufacturer in the world.

I do agree. It is mostly Nintendo fans, but that's because they haven't picked the winning console in twelve or so years. So for them to have a winning console makes them very happy. I mean, some of them are a little too happy about it, but nonetheless, their console is doing good, so they are happy.
