Exactly, that's my point. It's like a paradox. They don't like GS's practices but at the same time they push people towards GS in the first place. So inevitably people will start to use GS's other services.
While I do partially agree with you that consumers do need to choose where they buy their games but at the same time you can't blame the average consumer for trying to get the best deal when buying a game, which at this time is with retailers such a GS because of all the pre-order incentives. So again there's a paradox.
I think at the end of the day publishers will just have to put their foot down and decide to promote other services (such as digital) while losing sales from GS if they want to ever get people out of the habit of buying games from GS. But I don't know if anyone will be willing right now to do so.
And yes, like you I rarely ever use GAME (I haven't ever visited their stores). I use online retailers who are much more competitive in their prices and deals.
