This movie Rocks!!!! have any of you  seen it?

great movie, its by Guillermo Del Toro, he directed Pan's Labyrinth which is also in Spanish. He just signed a deal to make the Hobbit movies.

I just heard about that, and I think Guillermo definitely has the talent for a project like the Hobbit. My only worry is his knowledge of the source material. I seem to recall him mentioning that he has never read the LotR in an interview a while back, though he did say that he read and loved the Hobbit.

However, I may be confusing him with the director of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.  But as for his work on Pan's Labrynth and Hellboy, it seems like he'd do well with the Hobbit, so long as PJ oversees the project as a whole.

I watched pans labrynth and was blown away. So much so i just had to see the orphanage. I don't even speak spanish but i love both those movies.

This guy definitely has talent. He was offered the role to do the Halo movie but turned it down to do hellboy 2 (shame, at least if he was doing halo i'd be confident it's at least half decent).

Alfonso Cuarón is the one that did Harry potter and Prisoner of Azkaban. He's actually good friends with Del Toro and both of them worked on Pans Labrynth. Cuarón also did Children of Men

I had also heard a rumor that he had been offered HP 3 and HP 6, which he turned down, and now he wants to do HP 7. Never heard it from a credable source tho.

The movie is NOT directed by Del Toro its produced by himthe movie's directed by J.A. Bayona,

Yeah my friends saw it and said it was genuinely good...looked stupid from the trailer honestly, so I didn't bother seeing it.

It'll be a rental I guess.
