This is my prediction: By the end of 2013 the PS4 will have outsold the Xbox One by at least a 2:1 ration worldwide.

Both consoles work the same way, have 90% of the same library and are already behind other gaming devices like PCs and tablets in terms of digital features...

They will both sell like shit but PS4 will sell better. 2-1 sounds about right.

There is a 20% difference in price, even bigger gap in EU/UK. It will be 2:1 if MS is lucky.

Now 2:1 or 3:1 seems reasonable.... before it is more like 4:1/5:1 or even more.

Better than the likely 10:1 it was going to be.

I agree that this whole negative buzz and the $100 difference in price will create something close to a 2:1 difference. But I also think Sony will just have more consoles to sell as I do firmly believe the "rumors" regarding manufacturing yield problems MS is having.

both will probably sell out almost everywhere (xbox maybe not in southern europe and so on..) but there will be very few xbox shipments and playstation has more "die hard fans" who buy a console at release so yeah, 2:1 or even more.

Ok I said 2:1 to be unbiased, but I truly think there is an equal chance it will be 3 or 4:1. And yes I think it would have been 6-10:1 had DRM not been removed.

But we all seem to agree that it will at least be 2:1. I think this ratio will continue through 2014 as well. Thoughts?

I dont know why people even bother making predictions like this for this year. Whatever each console sells this year wont be based on demand, it will be based on supply. As supply will not catch up to demand until well into 2014.

Both will sell out if not for scalpers. Whoever ships the most wins.
