I said DVD or BluRay, not T.V. I was specific on purpose. This will be my first BluRay player and by extension, hers to use also. Many people, most people really haven't adopted BluRay as their preferred format. I am one of them.

Ah very good, blu rays great for HDTV's. I guess PS4 will be my 3rd bluray player, although now Lovefilm finally supports HD streaming, i have been using blu rays less. I guess over the next few years everyone will have blu ray, just because its in devices they bought primarily for other reasons, like how DVD is.
I absolutely love the interface. That snap feature may be one of the best features I've ever seen on a gaming console too. November can't come soon enough x_x
First I was in doubt if it was real-time or not because we all know how laggy tge UI was back in May. Then I saw his controller and smartglass and I have to say if it runs that good in November then I am officially once again torn between buyong a PS4/X1!
It has never been harder for me to choose platform than this time.
yeah PS2 was a big pusher of DVD technology.... I remember my PS friends living their PS2s at their parents home as DVD players and buying slims when they went to college.....
bluray is picking up the same way but I'm not sure it will ever reach DVD sales for disc since digital distribution is getting bigger everyday.... but you are right people get them through purchase for other things like a console or in my case my first one is the one I have on my TV box through my ISP.... got it for a while never bought a blu ray though.... I download on XB all my HD movies or stream content through third party services (Netflix, hulu) it'd rather do that than spend money on BR on top of my subscriptions and my game expenses....

Wow that looks amazing. I'm glad I'm getting this day 1. I need my NFL split screen and fantasy football action.

No, in fact according to the leaked FAQ, there are no more third-party ads on the UI. There may be showcases of promotions, content, and games, but no more third-party ads.

afaik xbox one doesn't have 2 HDMI outs, so I very much doubt that is possible
@lafiel I guess he was talking about smartglass.... if you can locally stream to from the XB1 to a smartglass device this could be possible....

How the hell does this video have so many negative votes? I swear the anti-XB1 stuff is getting out of control.
It's just that simple.
