Even if people don`t like it, truth is, the vast majority of gamers can, without restraints, use the console every single day. And when the big games start coming out, all that DRm talk will become less importante because gamers will realize it really doesn`t affect them that much. The real problem is the 499 price tag. That`s the real hurdle! My guess is that MS saw what happened to Sony and how things have turned out for them. And even if XB1 goes the same route, they know it can end well for them. They also know the impact they can have in the states. So, in the end, they know what they are sacrificing, but to them - and in my view aswell, it will only hurt them for so long. |
$499 and no signs of it having any raw specs superior to that of the PS4. That and DRM are issues. It would remind me again a bit of the Saturn launch in the United States. The Saturn showed no signs of being superior than the Playstation in doing polygons. The Playstation won out, being $100 cheaper than the Saturn in the United States, eventhough the Saturn did launch first, Sega lost.
