As it currently stands Microsoft is getting a lot of bad press( and it's legit ) ... I doubt they will outsell the PS4

But even if they did , and by a large margin ... Sony is still going to get it's profits back .


Bad press created by Sony biased journalist in the gaming industry.  Core will be core but MS is fightng for a larger market that includes mainstream; and breaking out the image of game consoles as toys and part of everyday living. It's just ahead of it's time.  Also those hating on the X1 are pirates that one to give them bad publicity b/c it curbs their illegal activities!!! I personally have no problem with the being on and who here doesn't have internet connection?  Nowadays broadband is more prevalent than cable...Sheeesh!!!

Sony are marketing their device as a toy !? Surely you haven't watched E3 ... it's the same entertainment multimedia device ... that'll give you music , movies ,tv and stuff from Sony Pictures along with Netflix ... are you seriously trying to debate this with us !? Or you're just living in denial !?

Why? DRM does not stop pirates. Just ask the PC where DRM is already well entrenched. And it's possible to put in place anti-piracy measure without severely restricting game swapping and trading. DRM is only and specifically aimed at used game trading not piracy.

On the troll thing for Xbone. Fine if the site policy becomes a tyrannical regime which bans people for the sake of not hitting the space bar (Xb one vs. Xbone) then I will abide by that rule. However it will become like Voldemort: the "console that shall not be named."

By take out you mean increase their market share right while releasing the biggest failure in console history.

Sony doesn't have access to MS varied and wide availability of resources...ie Smartglass, Windows, Surface, LIVE...etc.  Plus Sony does not have the monetary ability to compete with Nintendo let alone MS (which would pummel Sony in terms of it's available resources!!!)

Pirates ? So every forum and media magazines are pirates ? Yeah surely ... Pirates can flock to hacking PS4 , they don't care where they're playing as long as they get exclusives and 3rd party titles from day one ....

I will say this is probably the last gen for both Sony and MS, they will both move to digital, streaming services after this, Nintendo might make another console as they wont be ready for the future, as long as the Wii U doesn't financially cripple them, hopefully it will take off this xmas.

It already looks like Sony will be the first to offer streaming game content early next year, MS wont be far behind tho.

But that $500 box, that aint destroying nothing.

Let's be truthful here the only reason why people hate the X1 policy is that it makes all those who pirate games or hacks consoles impotent with their ability to do so. REALLY!!!

Sony has their own Smartglass , it'll be available on iOS and Android devices ...

I have no idea what's up with Sony's monetary ability ... but as such I can see them being in 2nd place this gen  ... after MS invested a load into Xbox 360 ?

you could call it XB-one or X1(much simpler) and it wouldn't sound so trollish!!! Seriously I'm surprise the mods haven't cracked down on this yet?
