The PS3 sold more in Europe this gen than the 360. So this isn't a surprise.

PS2 2.0, maybe sony can reach the success level of PS2?

It appears to me that the $100 gap in price is hurting Xbone.

Maybe online but I just came from my local Futureshop in Nova Scotia and they have a full stack of maybe 100 pre-order cards available for both PS4 and X1.

These numbers are huge all around, I wonder how is it going on Japan. Brazil still do not have pre-orders, I intend to buy it as soon as they start the local sales or pre-order programs from sony.br.

I don't think no console will ever come close in matching the PS2's domination. Althoug I expect SONY to sell more hardware this gen than Microsoft, I think it will be relatively close (less than 5 million units). I cannot draw a conclusion based on sales throught the first 3 years of their life cycle. Especially since both companies plan on supporting them for 10 years.

I hope both consoles sell about equal amounts, so we have an exciting console war for 8th gen.

Less console wars does mean better use of the system (every devs on one system, trying to push the system further)
