Also Smash has been in development for around a year only now. In order to make MH3g and even MH4 exclusive, that decision must have been made a loong time ago since I think MH4 has been in development before smash begun.

It's just a business decision like how Madden isn't coming to Wiiu this year.  The vita needs to sell better before it will get premium 3rd party support.
