Forums - Gaming - A video game character you would have a coffee with.

Well, duh, I'm sleepy and this came to my mind. Title is pretty much self-explanatory.

Pick up a video game character you would like to have a coffee with. You have to say why you chose that character, or, if you want, you can state your intentions toward him/her. (Both options are possible). Chit-chat, philosophical talk or just plain seduction. Whatever fits you most.

My choice:

Norman Jayden.

Why? The guy's pretty cool. Kind of a role model to me. He can be pretty obsesive and antisocial sometimes, and a pretty unlucky man when things take the wrong turn, but chatting with him about anything would be interesting. Plus, perhaps he'll lend me his glasses if I insist too much.

Obviously Professor Layton. But he is more of a tea affectionado!

I choose him because his character is the embodiment of an enlightening conversation.

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

Lara Croft (classic) - Love the accent, she'd have lots of great stories to share, interesting personality and easy on the eyes.

If i want a bromance i'd go with king

It'd be interesting to see him with his mask off or very funny to watch him drink with his mask on.

The villager and I would let him just stare at me...

bizarre-galaxy.de - My Browsergame, but sadly only in german :(

You can play as an octopus, though!

Big Boss ... ***(SPOILERS AHAED)***

I would like to know how he managed with all those struggles, from finding out about the lies the US government told him in MGS3 which led him to kill his mentor to his final moment at the hand of his 'son' - Snake. Of course ... this would be Big Boss in MGS4 since he was revived after he was killed.

And Link .. just one question really. You hittin Zelda man? Very short coffee discussion.

Celes from Final Fantasy VI.

It still amazes me how a game with sprites was able to convey character and personality so well. Celes, despite being brainwashed and forced to play the part of a living weapon, still felt like someone with a gentle soul. She had an introspectiveness that I found appealing. I think I would get along with her well. Sharing a quiet cup of coffee would probably be very pleasant. Also, I would try to get her to use Runic so I could hear that little 'ting' sound.

Celes over Cyan?
