Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft's Marc Whitten on all things Xbox One

Around the Network

He mentioned the Family Group thing but Whitton never got into it. Disappointed.

Great interview overall though, even though it doesn't really teach us anything new.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Nothing new here but i'm not sure if i want full digital for gaming. Games are too big these days now and you need a huge hard drive.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Full digital would be nice if they would pass the savings to the consumer. For every $60 game, digital copies should be $50 max because they are licensed not owned. They won't do it though.

Games should really cost no more than half as much if we went full digital. Since manufacturing of packaging, transportation and money that goes to retail is taken out of the equation. Any money made from games would be split between the publisher and the hardware company eg Microsoft.

But before we go digital we all need very fast internet like google fiber, but that won't happen for decades

Why would you need google fiber to go all digital? I can download games in 2 hours. They even let pre downloading on titles on Steam so all I have to do day 1 is click play.
