I felt as if this game easily deserves it's own thread! Easily the title that caught my eye at E3 so far, doing allot of awesome things. And oh boy, let me just say... does this game look absolutly incredible from a visual fidelity standpoint, I mean, WOW.

Anyways, thoughts?

It certainly looks visually impressive, but I am not sold on a 4 player co-op MMO, because that's what I think it is?

I am right in thinking all the people they were taking down were player controlled characters?

The visuals absolutely blow me away, here's a screenshot just to let it soak in:

And to address the whole enemy question, all the people that they fought initially were NPC's, AI controlled characters. At the end of the video, the team that comes up on them are all player controlled, so it has PvE and PvP elements.

Also it seems that they are trying to tackle a wide variety of genres, so not simply a MMO... It's a shooter in terms of combat, but it has heavy survival elements as well. It's also online in an open, dynamic world where you are playing against/with other people... On top of that there seems to be a heavy RPG influence in terms of mission structure and character custimzation/skills. Also I don't think that your squad is restricted to 4 players, but I'm not certain. But I'd watch the video I embedded if you have time, they cover a decent amount of stuff.

Definitely the winner of E3 in my books. A bunch of friends and I are looking forward to getting this. Finally a multi-player shooter where co-operation is essential.

I'm beyond pumped, it's combining some of my favorite elements from various genres into one supergame. And it seems they are doing it right from what they showed, looks phenominal.

I watched it live, but that makes more sense. I would be more intrested in something like Destiny which has some of this cross-over, but can be played as a single player game. I guess I will just wait to see how it comes together

I think they only fought NPCs in the Ubisoft conference demo and first encountered other players at the very end.

@ OP)

Yea, this was the visually most impressive game I've seen at E3.I hope the environments are very interactive and for example damage players do is persistant. That could be really cool.

Understandable, it's clearly an online game, but in that regards I have a few close friends in mind that I play squad based games (DayZ/ Arma II) with on my PC that will probably love this game. I love online games where true coorperation is executed correctly and properly rewarded.

This will probably be the first Tom Clancy game I get really into since the original Ghost Recon. Do you know more about the game? I haven't read anything on it yet but I was thinking of a cool game mode. I'm sure they have already though of this but they should have a bunch of player controlled teams scattered across New York and once a team gets eliminated they get taken out of the game until there is one team left standing. If a team member dies they can spectate their teammates screen and tell them things they notice that the player may not have (no unfair advantage of seeing where other teams are).

I haven't looked TOO into the game, to my knowledge however it's going to be almost MMO-esque with how the game is online, so it's going to be a big open and persisnt world with an eventual Meta-Game for everyone that will eventually be reached as you do various things in the world. So I'm not sure if they will have different game modes in that respect, but we'll have to see.
