Does the Wii have region coding? My friend is coming back from Japan tomorrow and he said he could pick a copy of Brawl up for me, I just wanna know, will it work on my Wii.

Nope, won't work unless your Wii is modded [even then it's unlikely because apparently most modded Wiis can't play dual-layer discs] Can your friend not bring the Wii too? [you woul need a power adapter]

Weel Australian Wiis can play European games because theyre both PAL.

So maybe US can play Japanese games because theyre both NTSC?

US Wiis can't play Japenese games, its as simple as that.

the wii is region coded, so you will not be able to play the Japanese disc on your wii.
