It looks like a LEGO game. Break everything, collect everything, combat by mashing the win button, occassionally solve a puzzle.

I guess it does kinda look like a lego game in a way

 

To me it looks like a widened Crash Bandicoot. I think the level design is ok but there are some area where the levels do look a bit empty like when he entered that room with the red carpet. They know damn well that they could've added a couple chairs and a big table with food on it in there or something lol

Skylanders actually looks better. (gameplay starts at 3:00)

Yea you can see that the characters in Skylanders move around fluidly and more naturally in their world. No fidgetyness

 

Also Knack is going to definitely be $60



Guys stop overreacting this is an early of an vertical slice. They will tweak all of that stuff probably. I have heard several complaints about the Last of Us when it was shown. And we all know how that turned out

Some other things that had me worried was that the game seemed like it would be too easy. I wanted this game to be a challenge at times with some good puzzles. I've been looking up more info on Knack and my hopes for it have been semi-ressurected.

The gameplay in this IGN video looks better than the one in the OP but i guess that's just because the guy playing doesn't suck. You will also notice that the enemies actually do fight back lol and there is a slight bit more depth to Knacks combat.

In the next video we see Mark Cerny talking about the game and shedding a bit more info on it while gameplay is being demonstrated

i still haves hopes for Knack. Some of the issues i talked about still needs to get ironed out though

It looks like a game they designed around a central concept of showing off the processing power of PS4 to move and render hundreds of little objects. So a game that is a tech demo. It's not really a good mindset on which to develop a game.

The concept of Knack as a mascot character is great, the excecution of the game seems like it will destroy all chances of Knack becoming the PS3's Sackboy/girl.
