Forums - Sony - Knack And Its Potential Issue I'm Seeing!

Yeah, I noticed that Knack feels very generic. Maybe because it's the first level, but if the whole game is going to be as exciting as the footage then there is no way in hell I am paying $60 for it.

just say what you mean, Knack gameplay looks like dogshit. Which is a pity because the initial trailers and the tech stuff made the game seem interesting .

I felt let down too, I'll wait for the reviews though.

This is a freaking 3d platformer wtf did u guys expect God Of freaking War fighting mechanics?!?!?!?!? This is a 3d platformer being made by Mark Cerny and Japan Studio. With Cerny being part of my all time fav. games, there is NO doubt in my mind that this game will impress me.

This is a platformer? I didn't see any platformer in there.

It looks like a LEGO game. Break everything, collect everything, combat by mashing the win button, occassionally solve a puzzle.

Do you think it will reach past +1m sales?  I don't see it selling more than 1-2m.

The only way this game could get past 1m is if it ends up being bundled and/or if there are no alternatives available for up to a year after launch, i.e. if you want non-"mature" content and Knack is the only choice on the PS4. Knack would be disregarded, if there was something like Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction/A Crack in Time, because the game just doesn't look particularly good.

I wouldn't count its sales out straight away, the box art looks really nice. Reviewers are normally too kind to launch titles. Also sony has adopted more diverse pricing strategies as of late, I do not think they will sell it for full price ($39.99)

Platformer has to have something going for it gameplay wise whether it be the actual platforming/movement, the Combat, Level design, Puzzles. Knack has nothing.

Skylanders actually looks better. (gameplay starts at 3:00)

So you are telling me crash bandicoot and sly cooper aren't platformers? because Knack resembles those games. And anyways th flaws of this game aare probably due to this game still being in developement and i'm pretty sure the final version will be much better.

It's clear that 8GB of RAM aren't enough to make a decent IA. I can't wait for the 9th gen, 128GB of RAM will fix those problems.
